Very warm welcome with friendly bar in the communal area.
This place is awesome! Even when the house is full you couldn't notice it! No lines to toilets or showers, kitchen where clean everytime and you manage to do your dinner before next one arrived to kitchen. Beds are good and everything worked well. If you play discgolf or want to know more about the game, don't hesitate to ask! Owner is fascinated of the sport and loan you disc or as many you need. There is super nice local course near by.
It was a pleasant stay. The host was welcoming and helpful but very particular with time.
Friendly and helpful staff. Everything is clean and maintained. Small cosy inn. One minus, for a backpackers lodge I would have expected a drying room, especially in Scotland.
decent stay.
Es war eine gute und gemütliche Unterkunft für zwischendrin. Leider wurde etwas zu viel gelüftet, sodass es sehr kalt war.
Such a cute little place to stay! Everyone is very friendly and the rooms were comfy. Good kitchen to cook and you get free tea and coffee too. I highly recommend doing the coo tour and boat tour on Loch Ness that is recommended by the hostel too they were both fantastic. I wish there were floor mats in the bathroom as the floor would get slippery after a shower. And the staff also try to keep one dorm room as female only when they can even though there technically isn’t one which was awesome ...
we had a good time at this hostel, facility and atmosphere were very nice. The only issue to report regards access rules for children : the booking site did not clearly warn we could not book a shared dormitory with kids, while it is the rule applied by the tenant.....it was an issue when we arrived. Luckily, we were allowed to share a dormitory with other travelers speaking the same language, so that we could communicate in case someone felt uneasy to share a room with a kid.
Wonderfully cozy. Most people were stopping along the highland way which goes directly past this hostel. Many beautiful hikes nearby and right next to Loch Lomond. Met some truly wonderful people, and the shared kitchen was brand new and super functional and cute. There was also a free washer/dryer and laundry baskets provided! It rained the whole time we were there but we felt super cozy with the electric drying rack for our wet clothes.
lovely place was surprised how so staff are really friendly place is cosy great bar and kitchen beds are so comforty and spotless bedding staying another couple of nights really recommend this gem 💎 for solo travellers like myself
Really enjoyed my stay. It was central to all the places I wanted to see and had everything I needed for the money. The staff were very nice. It wasn’t too busy so there was a lot of room to cook and relax.
Great stay and hospitality
We really enjoyed our stay at the Loch Ness Backpackers. Hostel was very comfortable & clean and location was ideal for doing the Great Glen Way. Would definitely recommend to family and friends.
Patrick was really nice and friendly ! Everything’s was perfect !
Perfect hostel! We had the coziest private room off the main building--the whole space is so warm and inviting. The front desk/bar was a happy welcome, and we got some great recommendations from the friendly person checking us in. The hostel is a bit far to walk to the town center, though it may have just felt that way after walking 20 miles. :) Overall would definitely come back!
Smaller hostel which appears to be family owned. Couldn't speak higher of the staff and the cleanliness, I would definitely recommend it.
The hostel was in a really quiet location outside of the main town in Inverness. It was close enough to get to Inverness & other attractions, it was about a 30 minute walk from the Loch Ness lake & other hiking trails that led through the woods. The beds were quite comfortable and the kitchen facilities were good for cooking meals and storing food. The hostel has a bar which is open until about 12 am every night and is a good space for chilling with the other hostel guests. I found that the host...
