X-Crib Hostel

The room was not cleaned properly (dirt behind the mattress, stains on the sheets, puddle of mud in the corridor that was never cleaned up), the bed curtains couldn’t be opened and one of them fell on my friend’s head. The rooms are not very well isolated but mostly families in the hostel so not super noisy. The staff is not super friendly, but mostly never there lol. Also bathroom is not very clean and often no toilet paper. Not social at all. It is very close to town though.

Lovely hostel. Not social at all but perfect if you’re not looking to socialise. The room was really clean, and facilities were good except when we checked into our room there was a ‘not working’ sign on our shower so we had to use the communal showers which didn’t bother me too much as they were hot & clean.

Pretty good in total the beds are big and comfortable. You are in walking distance to everything. The only thing was they didn’t really have a communal area.

The room was nice and in a good location. But it was very loud, with super thin walls. Also, we got woken up in the middle of the night by the security guard trying to open our door to let other guests in. Luckily we left the key in so he couldn’t, but was very unsettling. And when I tried to speak to the staff about it the next day it was just dismissed

It’s not bad but it’s not the best. Never saw anyone at reception, couldn’t even contact the phone number. The security guard had to let us in and they weren’t expecting us. The fitted bed sheet definitely wasn’t clean, hairs and dust on it. Shower floods the bathroom. Not social at all. One tiny sachet of conditioner and one bar of soap each is what you get in the private room. Towel is provided. Cafe downstairs is pricey compared to other cafes in town.

Very nice stay. Private was good hot water very cold ac. Central located Only cons were the price of in house laundry was pricy but the worst was the neighbors chickens. You will need earplugs or headphones otherwise you’re getting woken up early.

This hostel sucks, don't book it! I've slept in 30+ hostels and this one is the worst I've been to. There is no social area, there are 2 showers and 2 toilets for the whole hostel. The rooms are the size of prison cells. The walls of the rooms are paper thin so you can hear someone turning in their bed in the room next to you. The beds are okay, that is the only positive side. Lastly, the WIFI absolutely sucks!!! There are so many better hostels in Moalboal, please consider something else!

Thank you everything X-Crib Hostel staff. I was satisfied with everything. The staff was very kind and helpful, the hostel is in a good location, a few minutes walk to the beach. Clean place and a security guard was constantly monitoring the place. it was good value for money. I love X-Crib Hostel. Thank you!

awesome stay !

Great new hostel, it is not completely done building so no atmosphere yet because the social rooms are not built, but we knew that beforehand. Nice coffee shop. Great place to stay for pretty cheap before the real opening, staff is nice. Only thing I had a problem with : they say the front desk is open until 6pm, but we had a few times we needed help or had questions and nobody was at the reception. Rooms are pretty small but modern. Would generally recommend!

Highly recommend! Staff went above and beyond and were so friendly. Rooms are very new and clean. Location is perfect, we also booked their Canyoneering tour which was great!

Good hostel , literally brand new staff so lovely and amazing location!! Very big beds and 2 pillows!! And good showers. Only thing is the rooms are TINYYY and there is no lockers in room but good hostel otherwise

Good: well located in the city, comfortable double room and beds, silent AC, hot water, kind staff, cleaned daily, free coffee/ water. Bad : hostel is not ready, no social area, empty hostel after 7pm, and EXTREMELY NOISY - the hotel is located between a small stadium, a game fair and a bar, there is daily shouting, loud music with bass, wistles until 11pm (supposed to be 10pm), EVERYDAY for 5 days + works in the hostel during the day, got a massive headache! (maybe less noise in the dorms)

Pros: staff were great, the beds are comfy, 10 minutes walk into town, 24 hour security Cons: shelves and socket at wrong end of the bed, no bidet, no toilet paper in the actual cubicle and no toilet seats, nowhere to socialise (I realise it’s a soft opening but the social area looks miles off being finished), noisy bingo man outside with a microphone (fun if you’re actually there but not if you’re tryna sleep)

L’emplacement est bien! Le prix est abordable. Cependant, il reste plusieurs choses à faire pour rendre l’hostel très confortable. Par exemple, dans les toilettes, il n’y a pas de siège de toilette. Dans la douche, le drain a beaucoup de difficulté à avaler l’eau.. Pour quelqu’un qui se lève la nuit pour aller aux toilettes, les toilettes sont assez loin. Voilà pourquoi j’attribue une note de 7,7/10.

Very nice location about a 10 min walk from the coast. Nice to be tucked away a bit, but also very close to great food options. Staff was helpful when booking excursions and just generally answering questions about the area. Would recommend because the price is a steal!

Overall good value for the price we payed. It was very clean and the beds were comfortable. A con is that towels wasn’t included and that we saw the staff only about 2 times in 3 days. Very good location and close to the main road with restaurants and bars. Wish that the toilet paper would be inside each toilet stall and not outside.

Super clean, good and new hostel! It is still cheap as it has just opened. The staff was super friendly and helpful, there was free water and coffee and everything you need. :)
