Patty is a wonderful host - so welcoming, helpful, and friendly, and went above and beyond to make sure I felt at home :) I felt very comfortable at Dona Marcela and will return if I am in San Miguel!
Hostal Marcela es un sitio tranquilo donde Patri su dueña te hace sentir como en cada y pone a tu disposición todo lo que necesites. zona comun abierta, cocina común y las abitaciones grandes y con A/C. A menos de 10 minutos del centro andando.
I’ve been to 40 countries and have stayed in so many hostels, and I’ve never had an experience as positive as I did here! The host is one of the sweetest ladies I’ve ever met and she makes you feel right at home. I actually changed the route of my trip in order to come back and spend more time here. Each of the rooms has AC, facilities are nice, feels very safe, and location is great.. I reccomended for anyone looking for a place that feels like home mid travel!
Such a great place to stay. The owner was incredibly kind and very helpful with any kind of question. Thank you so much!
Staying here was a highlight of my travels in El Salvador! Patty was so welcoming and kind making sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. 10/10 would recommend staying here while in San Miguel!
Amazing host and beautiful home
We came for 1 night for the carnival festival. Everything was overbooked and finally we offered to stay at the hammocks. The owner was so sweet and nice. A beautiful soul and helped as a lot. She knows many Uber drivers and connection for the boat to Nicaragua. She also offered us a free night because of the sleeping at hammocks. Nice location. The facilities are okay.
The hostess is sooooo friendly! She made me and the other guests’ stay here amazing! Beds are comfortable and they’re all normal beds not bunk beds so no chance of a top bunk! The hostel was clean, centrally located and has a nice outside space in the hostel to hangout. Highly recommended to stay here, would definitely stay again!
Nobody there. I was knocking on the door for 30 minutes in the rain after carrying a 15k backpack.
If you want an authentic taste of El Salvador this is the best place to stay! Patty was the sweetest most helpful host I've ever met! Not only was her large historic home dog friendly, it was clean, centrally located in San Miguel, central park close by, walking distance to the bus terminal going anywhere in country, gym options nearby, comfortable bed, felt extremely safe, & tons of markets a few blocks away. Bus to Las Flores was $1 each way, breakfast served, and laundry service was available
