A fantastic hostel to stay in!
Excellent Hostel, very good host and welcoming, clean and tidy. The kitchen have everything, and I mean absolutely everything. Best place around. Bathroom and showers were super clean.
It was great!! Didn't expect to sleep so well! Everything's so clean! Recommend it with eyes closed!
Great hostel in a stunning location. All the amenities you’d expect with plenty of space in the room for luggage, hooks for coats etc, curtains and invidual plug points for bunks, lockable underbed storage. Everything is kept clearn too. The only thing to watch out for is that Dalwhinnie is tiny and has no grocery store so be sure to bring dinner/supplies with you
Perfect hostel! So cute. Best hostel kitchen I've ever seen. A lot of books and games. Very helpful shop. Lee was absolutely nice!
Bit like being in grandmas house. We only stayed one night but the accommodation was good! Well stocked kitchen, bunks were fairly comfortable, in a good location to see highlands or stop along a tour of them. Amazing water pressure in the showers. Overall no complaints!

Fantastic! A weary cyclist arrived from cycling into headwinds all day to a warm welcome, a greet bicycle shed, and a first rate hostel! Super clean, great dorm, excellent shower, wonderful kitchen. And a peaceful and tranquil location. I couldn’t ask for more—many, many thanks! Michael Himes
This is technically the 3rd time I have stayed at this location. Last year I loved it so much after the first night, my family and I booked it again. When I realized I was traveling to Scotland again, there wasn't even a question, I needed 2 night at the Dalwhinnie Old School Hostel. Lee, the caretaker, is always so friendly and helpful. If he happens to catch you walking out the door in the morning he even asking what your plans are for the day and offers great sight seeing advice.

This is a fantastic hostel in a brilliant location for accessing Munros. It is so well equipped. Lee is a wonderful host - very welcoming and hospitable. The fact that I could hire an excellent bike for the day was an unexpected but more than helpful bonus.
After two nights out in the wilds the hot shower and comfy bed were much appreciated. Would use again.

C'était génial ! Les chambres et lits sont très confortables, on a beaucoup aimé le système de rideau et les grille à cadenas pour les affaires. Les douches sont super. Lee est très accueillant et de très bon conseil pour les voyageurs. Les espaces communs sont grands, cosy et bien équipés. C'était un régal.

Great one-night stay in the mixed dorm - made for the ideal rest place between 2 days hiking in the hills. Definitely recommend!

The host was great, the toilet ranking 'would poop again', kitchen and living room spot on. The facilities are very clean, the vibe was wonderful. Good spacious car park in the back definitely bonus points.

Lee is a supreme host who has thought of everything: from bunk lights, charging ports and privacy curtains for the bunk beds in the 10 person dorm, to a fully equipped kitchen,large screen tv, and a cozy evening fire place.
