Hagi Guesthouse Ruco

+ This is a wonderful small hostel located right in the middle of town. There are some individual rooms, but I stayed in the bunk room. There is a kitchen for common use. There are several other common areas where travelers can gather. The staff is fabulous. I will definitely return to this place.

- The bunk room is on the 4th floor, and the bathrooms are on the 3rd. The stairs are very steep. No problem for the young folks stayiing there, but I am 72. The night-time visit to the bathroom was not so easy. But I loved this place. Next time, I will get a room on the third floor!

+ Beautifully decorated and well maintained space. Central location. Near to a bus stop from Shin-Yamaguchi and walking distance to a range of restaurants and city sights. Great facilities. High pressure shower and plenty of gear in the kitchen. Very helpful staff on site.

+ Amazing staff! That was by far the best experience I've had in Japan during my trip! Thank you so much Shio for the hospitality, I deeply appreciated it, and hope our paths cross again in the future!

+ Somehow it felt like home from the minute I checked in. Also I liked the fact that there was a nice clean sheet, a soft pillow,a light blanket and also a quilt making my sleep more comfortable than some 4 star hotels I stayed in. Also the owner showed me some good local hang out and a place for dinner which was also awesome...So Thank you so much..and Keep it up cause people like you will make memories for a lifetime;)
