HI - Vila do Conde Youth Hostel

One of the coolest hostels I’ve ever been in. Thr employees were super helpful and let me drop a bag for a few weeks while I did the Camino. The breakfast was top notch, the beds were comfy but did not have curtains. It’s a bit far from anything location wise, but a 10 minute walk will get ya right to the beach.

this place is excellent. breakfast is good, showers are alright - definitely plenty of hot water. you do have to leave your key card in the slot to get power to your room, but that’s not a huge issue. would definitely stay again. perfect for a camino stop & rest day

It was a great stay. The only issue is that most people want to charge their phones overnight and when you remove the key card that turns off the lights it turns off the power. The only other improvement would be lockers that lock so that you know your belongings are safe but a very enjoyable stay and good breakfast included. Thankyou

Insgesamt eine superschöne Jugendherberge. Das einzige, was noch nett wäre, wäre wenn die Steckdosen besser plaziert wären und es Vorhänge vor den Betten gäbe. Sonst alles top

Cool for camino

Sehr schickes und sauberes Hostel, die Mitarbeiter sind sehr nett und hilfsbereit.

Beautiful, sensitively restored civic building. Totally delightful setting. Staff really really helpful and accommodating. Planning to go back!

Bien acceuilli, belle chambre, propre

A nice location from the Camino trail, restaurants, a Lidl (a grocery store chain), and the river and beach. The breakfast here is on par with other hostel breakfasts, which was enough to get us going on our Camino the next day. There aren’t too many beds to a room which I prefer, 6 in total. A callout would be the bathroom experience, you’ll have to shower somewhat exposed to others who are showering at the same time. The glass is not completely frosted, and the showers are timed by 5 secon...

Onvriendelijke ontvangst van receptionist. Zij beweerde dat ik niet geboekt had en gaf maar moeilijk toe dat ze zich vergist had. Vervolgens gaf ze me tot 2 x toe een chipkaart voor de toegang tot de kamer die niet werkte. Het hostel is gloednieuw en toch weinig comfort en privacy op de meerpersoonskamers. Er zijn langs de Camino nochtans heel wat moderne hostels en albergues die dit wel hebben. Gordijntjes aan het bed, een stopcontact,een lichtje,...ontbrak. Ook ontbijtpersoneel onvriendelijk...

We really enjoyed our stay. The place was very clean, the staff were very friendly and spoke great English. We would recommend staying here to anybody visiting Vila do Conde.
