Hans Brinker Hostel Amsterdam

Although it is disclosed that there is no kitchen. There is actually no common area at all. Meaning there is nowhere within the hostel to eat which is pretty disappointing. Especially in a city with a lack of public space to sit. The staff were very kind though.

Not an overall amazing experience. Rooms were alright but found some hardened mush that had been ignored for a while right by my bed. Despite check in ending at 11, had a man put in my room at 2 AM with just the two of us and he clearly was not well. He ended up stripping down and sitting on my bed until I shouted and physically kicked him off. All that to say, while it labels itself a ‘party hostel’ , it would be nice if they evaluated who they were letting stay when they check in at 2 AM!

I had a very specific and odd experience here. I basically had a creep in my room who made me super uncomfortable, and when I went to the lady at the front desk, I told her I wanted to change rooms because someone in my current room was making me uncomfortable. At the time, I had booked a mixed room because there were no other options. She was very nice in the sense that she immediately moved me to a female-only room and was super quick to help, but she also did not ask any further questions. S...

Très bon emplacement , propre, problème d’eau chaude qui a vite été pris en charge. Dommage qu’il n’y ait pas de frigo et d’endroits pour manger (car impossible dehors sur les chaises) Mais surtout quelle mauvaise surprise d’avoir plus de 250€ de taxes pour quatre personnes en arrivant. Ça réduit considérablement le budget des vacances…

Although it was well located and the personnel was nice, this was one of the worst Hostels I've been to. 3 out of 4 days there was no hot water in the shower, also, you don't have a free flow of water, have to push a button every 10 seconds to shower and wash your hands. On top of that, the door has a code that beeps like a fire alarm every time someone opens the door. We are in the first floor so we could feel the vibrations of the parties at the hotel. I had a very good experience here. My friend experienced a medical emergency the morning of our checkout and the staff were so helpful, even offering us the room for another night free of charge to help her recover. Highly recommend, we are so grateful for them.

Auberge simple mais efficace. Idéalement situé dans le centre ville d'Amsterdam à proximité de nombreux site à pied. Une station de metro est également à côté. J'étais dans un dortoir de filles (6 lits) avec une sdb et des wc dans la chambre. Il y a un bar au rdc de l'auberge. De nombreuses soirée sont organisées plusieurs soirs par semaine. Good hostel. Beds are SUPER hard, if you like hard beds then it’ll be fine. Security good. Some staff were super friendly others were more quiet/didn’t help as much. Would stay here again if needed.

One of the worst and most expensive hostels in Amsterdam. If you want anything more than a bed for $100 a night, I do not recommend. Not social, you will be kicked out, strictly at the end of your checkout time. In addition, there is no kitchen or social space.

It was my first hostel experience and it was great! The rooms were spotless, beds were pretty comfy, I felt safe. Overall I’d recommend it!

Everything was great, location is perfect and quiet central!!

Es war so gut, das Zimmer wurde jeden Tag gereinigt und vor alle das Bad war danach immer super sauber, die Lage ist auch super und die Betten gemütlich :) ich würde jederzeit wiederkommen!

I stayed in the 6-bed female dorm and was actually surprised by how spacious it felt. The storage under the bunk beds was great because it fit my carry-on and backpack with no problem. However, if you are on the bottom bunk, you will not be able to sit upright. Also, I’m the dorms would be much better with curtains. There were a few things I did not love. There is no communal kitchen, which was kind of inconvenient. We also had to wear a wristband for the entire stay for security.
