Hostel the Globe Center

Estupendamente situado para ir al centro. Muy cerca de la estación central. Fuimos tres amigas y la habitación era en el tercer piso, sin ascensor, y nos ofrecieron otra en el segundo piso. Estaría bien que, además de toalla para ducha, dieran otra para el suelo ya que como no hay ni mampara ni cortina de ducha pues... todo el suelo de baño mojado.

Stayed here recently and WOULD NOT recommend. Paid £5 deposit for room key. Lockers require a separate deposit, not mentioned at check-in. Staff refused access without cash and sent me to a closed ATM. I offered to pay with card as well. Even after explaining, they offered no solution except leaving my passport as collateral. Completely unreasonable because they wouldn't take responsibility if it gets lost. Left without secure storage. Poor communication, no flexibility, unhelpful staff. 1 sta...

El lugar era seguro. Pero las parades no lograban aislar el ruido del pasillo, por lo que se escuchaban los pasos o conversaciones durante la madrugada, y nosotros al estar al lado de la escalera esta retumbaba cuando alguien subía. En general por el alto precio que tiene la habitación, no corresponde y faltan mayores facilidades más cuando fue una pieza amplia que arrendamos. El baño privado es incómodo, no hay separación entre la ducha y el wc por lo que se moja completo al bañarse

The showers need to be better, not very safe feeling as a woman showering in the communal bathroom, also charging availability at the beds too was extremely limited

Apart from the location, the property is really poor. No lifts, no brekfast, no kitchen. Very mediocre place . For the same price or even better you can get places like “clinknoord”

excelente atención y sobre todo amabilidad de Silvestre, nos dijo a dónde ir, que ver en el sitio y siempre mantuvo limpia la habitación y la zona de duchas

Good for the price—much better than most other options at this price point. I didn't feel much of a vibe here—although I only stayed for one night. The main thing that stood out to me is that there's hardly any place in the shower where you can put your stuff where it won't get wet.

En general todo muy bien, el hotel muy bien hubicado en pleno centro de la ciudad y muy cerca a la estacion central, no cuenta con ascensor, asi es qque un poco incomodo para subir las malestas, las personas de la recepcion son aamables pero no hablan castellano deberian de ser poliglotas.

Deberían de pensar en un elevador o preguntar la estadía para saber ci cuenta con equipaje y no cargarlo los 3 pisos, como nos pasó

Great place, helpful stuff and very clean

We stayed in a private room for three. The room was okay, bigger than we expected which was nice. The floor was a little bit damaged and one of the mattresses were quite stained, but the sheets were clean and covered it. Friendly staff and the location is good of you want to be close to many attractions.

This hostel was in a great location of the city. It was clean but we had a lot of damage to our room on the floor that hasn’t been repaired but it wasn’t a big deal. Luggage storage was just putting your stuff in a corner so be mindful of that

There was unfortunately a weird disruptive guest in the room and when we went down to the reception to report it and spend time in a common space, he didn’t hear us out and asked us to leave in an extremely rude manner. I would highly consider staying elsewhere.

Among the worst hostels I've stayed at. Most of the guests are middle-aged men traveling alone to Amsterdam. I wonder why... Staff was not very friendly, limited facilities, room has no AC so I was sweating in my bed. Overall I would recommend looking elsewhere, this should be a last resort.

The best is the area, very in the centre, and very safety. Big rooms and very clean. If you are a solo travel, there are not many chances to meet people, cause there is no breakfast or moments where you can meet people. Maybe the hostal could have some activities. The staff is okay.

This hostel is well located near to Amsterdam Centraal station. I was concerned it might be in the red light district but it didn’t seem to be. The check in was very welcoming. Room was basic and pricey for what it was - we had a private twin room. Lino flooring was tearing around the edges of the room. Shower nice and hot and good water pressure but there were no hooks to hang towels and there had clearly been a shelf by the washbasin for wash bags etc which had been broken and not replaced.
