Sea View Backpackers

It does not feel like a backpackers, there is no atmosphere, the few other guests that were there were not backpackers and they were super inconsiderate - one having loud business meetings at 6am and another playing music while making breakfast at 7am. We were running behind schedule and were told that if we arrived after 6pm we would be charged double the nightly rate - which is kind or crazy and seriously lacking hospitality. Lots of black mould too Good things - secure parking, comfy beds

The location of Sea View Backpackers is nice, as it is very close to the sea and only a 10-15 minute walk to the center. However the whole interior is very old. We did not have enough toilet paper, there was not staff around except for check-in, there were almost not plugs for charging,.. I would probably not book this accommodation again.

Overall, it was nice. I was clean on my first day, but the rooms were not cleaned again in-between those four days. Sharing a bathroom with so many people, that would be nice. Besides, I asked the woman at the reception how to best get to Walvis Bay (a common thing to do for tourists) and she really could not tell me. Fortunately, one of the locals had better advice. The kitchen smells a lot.

Beautiful place to relax. I enjoyed staying in the lounge.

Excellent service and great reception. It was definitely a great experience and we will be coming back in the near future.

I can only speak of the private room. The private room had really high humidity and it was difficult ro get rid of the humidity. The funiture was old and smelly. We didnt expect a 5 start hotel but at least a comfy place. The internet speed was extremely low and on the day it sometimes didnt work at all. I was not able to watch a 144p Video in YouTube. It was offered to clean the room by request. We had to ask 3 days in a row until it finally happened. The place seems to have bad management.

Looks like a nice place to stay at first. Areas were quite clean, but the kitchen was not clean at all when I arrived. Private parking lot which is nice if you have a car and want it to be secured.

Seaview Backpackers was a clean hostel with adequate facilities. Yet this could not make up for the fact that it lacked any atmosphere, the few travellers that were there during my stay we're all divided in seperate dorm rooms.

Clean, nice, but could have had general spices in the kitchen (salt and pepper) and also paper towels.

Nice and comfortable hostel about 15-20 mins on foot from Swakop centre.

This hostel is calm, clean and spacious. Very comfortable beds. Helpful staff. Excellent value for money!
