The People - Paris Belleville (ex Les Piaules)

The neighbourhood seemed a bit iffy and it was surprisingly far from the main attractions of the city (the latter is on me though for not checking). But metro stations were super close, so it was easy to get to where I wanted to go. Room was tidy, there was enough locker space, privacy in the bathroom was good but the bathroom smelled bad

Hi!! I hope this will help anyone who Is struggling to decide whether or not to stay at this hostel. I’m a solo female traveler, and was a bit skeptical but loved it. I stayed on a 6-bed mixed room. In general, it’s such a nice hostel! Staff is super friendly, the rooms/bathrooms are clean, the beds are great (plus points for the curtains on the bed. One of the bests I’ve ever gotten.). The neighborhood Is nice as well (not fancy, it will be dirty, but it was fine, safe enough)

I enjoyed my stay here! The best part was probably the cozy little rooftop where you could eat your own food while having a lovely view of the sunset over the city. You can also buy somehing at the bar and bring upstairs. The common area was good, the 6-bed mixed dorm I stayed in was clean, and the shower was really good! The bathrooms could've perhaps been cleaned a little more often but overall a clean hostel. The only thing I really missed was a kitchen. Otherwise definitely worth the money!

I really appreciated the privacy curtains in my bunk, and I loved being on the top floor beside the rooftop terrace

I loved staying here! The beds are super spacious and comfy, the vibe is very friendly and respectful. Love the rooftop and the showers are great, you don’t leave feeling dirty like in other hostels! I’ll absolutely be back, thank you so much for having us!

Clean. Good location. Staff were okay. Went to drop off our bags and had to pay for lockers which was not ideal.

We needed last minute accommodation because our flight got cancelled. Beds and bathroom were clean! Breakfast and overnight staff were very sweet. The woman helping with locker reservations was rude. Overall we needed a place to sleep for one night and this did the job, but if you want a fun hostel experience (we weren’t looking for one) I’d look elsewhere :)

I had a great stay at the hostel. Staff was kind and efficient, bunks were great with their own curtains, light and plug which was a creative way of making a private space, wifi was strong, breakfast and coffee was delicious, bathrooms were nicely set up, neighbourhood is very nice. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Not as social as I expected, super well located, friendly staff and a VERY good breakfast

Me: b. 1948, still spry. 9 nights early April. Setting: 2 metros with popular destinations along them and good connections within 2 + 4 minutes. Many take-out + sur place options. Quiet (4th flr side room). Tu+Fri marché right there. Room: good bed, generous headroom, reading light, power outlet, privacy curtain, locker plenty big enough for carry-on size. Les Toilettes: 2 stalls, 2 showers, 3 sinks kept very clean. Never had to wait. Staff: Excellent, personable, efficient, very helpful.

Decent stay. Close to metro. But not a lot happening in the area

está muy lejos del centro pero estuvo bastante bien, limpio y la habitación espaciosa, lo que sí, el ambiente es de muchos chicos en viajes escolares por lo que abarrotan los pasillos

The beds are too hard. The room is too warm while at the same time the windows are drafty. The hallway lights are too bright. All other things are great. Staff great. Music great. Location great. Many restaurants and cafes and bars nearby.

Definitely one of the best places to stay in Paris as a solo traveller. Great location, friendly staff that speak multiple languages, evening live events, privacy and security in the dorms and super clean hostel. Only thing to note is the lack of a kitchen but they serve food and drink which was great! 10/10 would recommend and stay again :) Merci beaucoup

The staff at the bar was rude and not welcoming. I asked a question about breakfast, and he responded with a bad attitude for no reason.

Absolutely beautiful hostel for about an inexpensive as they come in Paris. The dorms are great and I had great people with me in mine. Staff was very friendly and able to help with any questions that I had. 3rd floor toilets had a funky smell but that was the only quarrel I had with the hostel and it was not the same on the other floors. Lots of fun, great vibe, great location, very comfortable and lots of privacy when it was needed!
