Disgusting, dirty electrical wires hanging everywhere, dust everywhere, stains on the bedding, the bathroom is a mess, a foul smell—just horrible and filthy

This is my second time in the hostel and won't be my last! First of all, the staff is amazing, always willing to help and make you feel comfortable. The rooms are spacious and very clean, comfortable beds and also has heating for winter time. The location couldn't be better, immersed in the most chic neighborhood of Istambul, with many coffee shops, bars and restaurants around. It's a great place to meet people because the staff sometimes organize language exchange meetings.

Had a great stay here, had everything I needed and really friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely stay here again.

Abgeshen von der Lage keine gute Unterkunft. Die Bilder entsprechen nicht der Realität. Das Fenster ließ sich nicht schließen, die Kabel kamen aus der Wand und die Wände waren dreckig und schimmelig.

Easily one of the worst hostels I’ve ever been to. Got there late otherwise I’d never have stayed there.

Kalkedon esta en una muy buena ubicación, sin embargo las habitaciones no son lo que ofrecen, no cuentan con AC, ni tampoco se parecen en nada a lo que se muestra en las fotos.

Place unrecognisable from the photos shown on the website. We had the impression that we had been directed to a place other than the one we had booked! Everything in this hotel is falling apart ! Toilet that doesn't work (one per floor), dangerous electric wires hanging in the room and outside, lights that don't work, tap that comes off with the water pressure, poor hygiene, the advert states that there is air conditioning but it's not true at all (not even a fan in the room!). I liked this hostel. the common area was spacious and they have a functional kitchen.

Highly recommend, amazing value for money! I got a private room and it was super spacious with high ceilings and lots of light coming in. Shared bathroom and toilet which were cleaned daily. Amazing location in Kadikoy close to the bus and ferry terminals. Adjacent to a street full of vibrant cafes and bakeries. Kitchen available for use - which has been hard to find in Turkey. I was almost dissuaded by the negative reviews but I'm glad I gave it a chance, it did not dissapoint.

Photo of the hostel on the Internet is a scam, the hostel looks like a prison, dirt is everywhere, the shower and toilet look like cells for criminals, they checked in three hours earlier and asked for money from above as if for a whole day, a scam, terrible people keep this place, the rooms are dirty and dusty, no air conditioning or fan.

Great hostel, well ran, good facilities and the staff helped me organise what to do in Istanbul
