Istiklal Hostel

Hostel does not exist at all - unable to see any signs at the marked location, not even the temporary reception address in the notes. Found another place to stay at the end, and being made aware that this wasn't the first time people encountered difficulties with this hostel. AVOID AT ALL COST!!!

Misleading photos and terrible experience! The pictures online are completely fake. The bathroom had no lock, the bed wasn’t clean, and there were no towels provided. The place was unbearably hot, and despite my requests, the owner refused to switch on the AC. I had to check out in the middle of the night because it was impossible to stay there. Absolutely awful experience — I would not recommend this place to anyone.

A complete scam! There is no hostel at the address. The neighbors say the Hostel has been out of business for a long time.

Todo horrible!, la ubicacion no corresponde, clausuraron el lugar que aparece aca, no hay terraza con vistas como sale aca, es un pequeño departamento con camas, no hay wifi, le pedi internet a un restaurante, en la publicacion sale que hay desayuno, falso, es mentira, funciona de forma ilegal, si sabe la policia turistica lo clausurarian, nada de lo que ofrecen en esta publicacion es verdadero, hostelworld deberia verificar hospedajes tan pauperrimos como este, no lo reserven, es un desastre.

Please provide better Internet, daily cleaning, look the main door from the building at night at least. Provide a microwave oven, fridge, toaster. Better heater during winter. Use whatsapp, viber or telegramm for communcation with the host and staff. Make a signal for the hotel because alot of taxis and drivers did not find the adress and the place. Its called Cherry Hostel and not Istakl Hostel. This place need to improve lots of things but could be a great place once it would be updated

For starters, the address mentioned is not the real location. Search for 'istiklal hostel new' on Google maps! . It's an apartment with one bathroom and no kitchen. Then again, most hostels around Sultanahmet are shady.

Man wusste nicht wo sollen wir hin. Beim dritten Versuch der Herr hat uns zu Fuss mit 4 Koffer ein Zimmer mit Double bett gegeben. Mindestens 3 Stunden mussten wir fast wie auf die Strassen warten. Am Ende haben wir ein Zimmer bekommen. Das war alles okay. Aber taxi Fahrer könnte unsere bleibe nicht finden. 3 Versuch 30 Minuten zu Fuss mit 4 schwer Koffer, Katastrophe. Ende gut alles gut

absolute katastrophe, statt einzelzimmer wurde ich in ein 8bett zimmer untergebracht, da mein zimmer doppelvermietet. für 1ne nacht, konnte man es akzeptieren, ab 5uhr tekefonieren und diskussion auf arabisch in voller lautstärke vom chef nichts mehr zusehn errinnert eher an eine auffangstation statt hostel

Das Hostel wird so wie es aussieht illegal betrieben, ist in einer Privatwohnung in der so viele Personen wie möglich hineingestopft werden. Die Bilder stimmen wie so oft überhaupt nicht mit der Realität überein. Schimmel überall , extremste verschmutzt und die Mitarbeiter bzw. der Mitarbeiter Sitz den ganzen Tag nur vor TikTok. Warmes Wasser gibt es selten. Zudem fängt es an zu jucken wenn man im Bett liegt und man wacht mit Stichen wieder auf , vermute also Bettwanzen. Katastrophe 0/10

Steer away

The hostel has no name outside the building. Thats look shabby. Only one guy muzaffar is sitting outside and showing you the room. They have 2 appartments converted into hostel room at the top floor and you have to climb 100 stairs. The room and beds were OK.

Fuyez cette adresse ! L’adresse est fausse , le gérant est louche. Cet hostel est même mal réputé auprès de tout les autres d’Istanbul !

Para ser sincera la mayoria de las veces viajando, duermo en cualquier lugar pero este hostel ademas de tener imagenes en internet que no corresponden a la realidad del lugar , hay una falta de limpieza terrible. Cuando te abren esa puerta hay un olor muy feo a pies , y la verdad es que no corresponde el precio que te cobran con lo que te ofrecen. Ademas el desayuno es muy pobre. Té con 5 trozos de pan para todo el hostel, sin siquiera tener una mesa o area comun para poder descansar

Es un Horror ese lugar, No es un hostel,!!! Tenía hasta miedo que me ocurriera algo. Deberían sacar ese lugar de las plataformas, deja mucho que desear. Todo estaba sucio, hbia mucho olor a todo, todo estaba roto y dejado, el desayuno nunca existió!!! Solo había té y pan. El lugar no cuenta con espacios en común, no tiene comedor ni sillas ni área de Living Room. Mala experiencia. Pésimo

Когда приехали в номер, нам предоставили общую комнату на 10 человек, а оплачивали бронь мы на приватную комнату на троих Сказали что там ремонт и придется жить тут
