Nice hostel, close to the beach

Weird stay. Place was pretty much empty in April. Staff seemed more determined on setting a vibe with the look of the hostel rather than an actual vibe. Only hostel I’ve stayed in where the staff haven’t shown me to my room. Mixed room had strange guys in it. Was clean and tidy though, maybe is good in high season.

A beautiful building in a phantastic area. Good atmosphere. To me it seemed, that the private room guests where more in focus of attention than the group room people. There are very many people with dogs. What you can read about forks and spoons has still not improved. We had 3 forks, no spoons and little pots and pans for the hole hostel. We had a very nice switch and share of the rare kitchen things. In april 2026. Everything else was very nice!

I went during slow season so it was me and 4 other guests. I’m sure during high season it’s great. Loved that it had a kitchen. The place was clean and the beds super comfy. Only thing I wasn’t to happy about is that there’s limited buses that run to Peniche. Not the hostels fault, should’ve done some more research.

Attention, "Malacuna Peniche" n'est pas à Peniche... mais à 1h à pieds. C'est à savoir si vous voulez vraiment être à Peniche et que vous n'avez pas de voiture ! Hors mis ce point, l'auberge est cool, il y a un restaurant qui est très bon, un tatoo shop, c'est vraiment sympa. Le personnel est très gentil, la plage est à 15min à pieds et l'auberge donne sur une route, c'est à savoir. Enfin, les chambres sont très humides, il faudrait s'occuper de ça. Et le sol assez sale... c'est mit...

The kitchen and in particular the fridge was very gross, I almost feel like they don’t clean it or properly supply basics (pots, cutting board, spoon) to get you to eat at their restaurant lol, because the rest of the place was cleaned daily. Also there’s no where to lounge or hang out really, like it looks like there is in pics but then you get there and realize it’s all part of the restaurant so unless your buying food or drink you can’t use the nice lounge area outside. Un lugar muy acogedor, todo estaba OK si sabes lo que pagas y que vas aún hostel no a un hotel, cama cómoda con dos almohadas. El baño bien para ser compartido ya que me Quedé en habitación de 10 camas, por las mañanas lo limpiaban todo, la cocina bien tb tienes lo necesario para hacerte de comer microondas y horno, me tocaron compañeros bastante respetuosos en la Habitación así que pude dormir bien, el restaurante bien la comida era rica y no estaba mal de precio, lo malo era la Ubicac...

Stopped for just a night on a bike packing trip. Perfectly safe and did the trick but definitely a surfer vibe so not the most friendly to non surfers. Bathroom in the mixed dorm also was not the cleanest and had a serious plumbing issue (water all over the floor). Bed and sheets were very comfortable but curtain had stains all over the back which is a bit gross when you’re heading to sleep.

The state of the kitchen is beyond horrible, there is literally a single (1) cup for the entire hostel and about 2 plates. It’s incredibly dirty all the time and the fridge was never cleanded out during our stay. We stayed in an 8 bed dorm with a private bathroom, which was always under water and the showers never cleaned as well. The outlets next to the beds don’t really work, which is unconvenient and there’s a huge box for your stuff right in the sleeping pod which is quite uncomfortabl...

Nice Hostel with good Dorms, but the Kitchen bearly has any dishes and you have to fight to get a plate. And then when you got a plate, you have to fight for a table outside because almost everything is reserved for the restaurant that belongs to the hostel. But if you don’t need to cook by yourself the hostel provides everything you need.

Plugs inside the sleeping pod don't work and will literally shock you. Double check if its a safety hazard (Shared Dormitory 210, 5). Staff at reception were juggling way too many things (people, etc...) making the whole process way slower. They were busy, efficient, and kind but clearly in need of an extra pair of hands. It might be a good idea to reassess whether you're understaffed and whether staff are being compensated in proportion to their workload. Otherwise, immaculate vibes!

The place was in a pretty good location, not too far from the main beaches, and about 3 miles from Peniche town. The room was clean and nice enough, but was uncomfortable to walk around on the bare concrete floors. Room was pretty big, but found it odd that there were no chairs or benches to sit on, so the only place to get off your feet was the bed. Restaurant and bar staff were great, but the front desk folks weren't very helpful with our few questions about surfing and the town. Just o...

Cool hostel BUT: - not so close to the city centre - water didn’t work for an entire day - in two days, no one made the bed after check out and no one cleaned the bathroom in the room, changing toilet paper and refilling shampoo.

Great surf/skate hostel, great vibe, just a great time in general

Très bon séjour au global. La chambre familiale est très bien, très propre, calme, rien à redire. Bonne ambiance globale, dog friendly, nous avons beaucoup apprécié la facilité du restaurant et du bar sur place, surtout que les prix y sont très corrects. Par contre : il nous a fallu attendre 45min les deux matins pour avoir un bowl de fruits, c'est vraiment trop long, et serveur peu compréhensif, et qui faisait la gueule. Le soir, tout allait vite et le serveur était très agréab...

Great place. Really easy to make friends and connect w the staff.

10/10, one of the best hostels I have been. Additionally, the people staying here were super cool and nice.
