Ostello del Bigallo - Bigallo Hostel

Great place to experience a quaint part of Florence. It’s very clean, spacious and peaceful. You can get to the city in 45 minutes. Be prepared to walk uphill.

I loved this place. Outside of the city which is exactly what I wanted. The views are amazing and it was so clean. Dinner at 8:30 every night was delicious and helped create a great way to meet others staying in the hostel. It is a 20 min walk uphill to the hostel but honestly minus the first time (with my heavy bag) it felt extremely doable. I had no problem catching busses into the city and back out! Would absolutely stay again!!!

Such a nice place! The only downside is that it is a bit hard to get to it was however totally worth it. The pasta night was really great to meet other travelers and it was really nice to get away from the crowds in Florence.

Booked a mixed 5 bed room and they put me in the large room with 20+ beds. Check in was overly complicated and an extra charge + needs to be coordinated after 10pm. Check out is early (10am) and the location is difficult to get to

I had the best experience at this hostel and would highly recommend. Everyone was so lovely, the building and facilities were beautiful and clean and it was a lovely environment to relax and enjoy some nature for a couple days. The only downside is there is no kitchen facilities but for a short stay this is fine. The pasta dinner and wine was insane and breakfast excellent. Great value for money and nice to be out of the city. You should stay here!

Amazing building with amazing staff, and food is delicious!! It is located outside the city and area is beautiful and quiet. there is around 20 min uphill walk to get to the place so be sure you can carry your stuff or have an alternative way to get there.

Wow such a beautiful property on such beautiful of land ! It felt more like a retreat than a hostel ! The rooms were big and clean and had so much space to store your things (I was in the 8 bed dorm) , the hot showers were perfect, chefs kiss, met some awesome people there, staff are kind and accomodating, the view was insane! And the buffet breakfast (included in the price) was awesome ! Thank you for this stay, it was so special ❤️

I stayed 4 nights. Pros: social, hot showers, scenic, €8 pasta dinner. Cons: the staff weren’t social. Info about how to get there should be sent ahead of time by email to hostel guests. I got stuck because I took the 23A bus rather than the 23B and then had to hitchhike. Then there was a bus strike and the hostel staff didn’t support us in figuring things out. Finally, they did nothing about a loud person in the 24 bed dorm - hostels need to kick out people who are reported to be disrupti...

Emplacement incroyable avec une terrasse offrant une vue panoramique sur Florence… Personnel au top ! Je recommande ! Par contre, nous n’avons pas accès à la cuisine pour se préparer des plats chauds, seul bémol !

Staying here for two nights had been such a great experience. The hostel has a very warm and cozy atmosphere during the day, but it is definitely always possible to find somebody to socialize and the evenings are more busy- I loved the pasta night! I will definitely come back and can only advice to stay here! The area is beautiful too; there are plenty of hikes and options to run (though hilly!) and you habe the most romantic view over Florence😊 note: breakfast is included, no public kitchen

I still Rave about this place!!! 🔥🔥 Literally the best Hostel experience I’ve ever had! If anyone comes to Florence I tell everyone it’s a MUST STAY!! Would u like a dreamy European Monstery with insane view of the city & have the chance to meet amazing peeps over Wine & Pasta??? It’s like the solo / just any travelers dream Hostel stay. Met some of my fav peeps of the trip here!! And the staff was amazing!! If ur in Florence u NEED TO STAY HERE!!

What a great time! Bumped into a group of beautiful people, spend some days together in this gorgeous hostel with the most amazing view over florence. We shared many Italian specialties and red wine at a large table in the garden, watching the sunset accompanied by the guitar playing of some of the hostel residents. Absolutely recommend this place.

It was the best hostel I ever stayed at! The staff was super nice, the food was amazing and the view and atmosphere of the place were magical. Even though we shared a room with 22 other people the alcoves offered almost as much privacy as a private room. 10 out of 10 and will 100% be back again.

One of the top hostels in Italy. Beautiful property. Kind and helpful staff members, they treated everyone fairly and fostered a friendly spirit! It was clean and safe. Made so many friends here, the type of friends you keep. There were soo many moments that have become key memories in my life. Many people extended their stay because it was That good. Shoutout to George who gave me a delicious pepper to add to my sandwich and helped me pick the ripe pomegranates!
