Dorms were not properly cleaned, the bathroom was also dirty.

The dorms were okay and manageable for a short stay, but the bathrooms were a big letdown. They were very dirty and had a strong smell, which made the experience uncomfortable. Overall, the place needs much better maintenance, especially in the washrooms. I wouldn’t really recommend it unless cleanliness is improved.

Definitely isn’t what it appears in the pictures. Nice location and comfortable beds but generally unfriendly staff who weren’t very helpful and were a bit rude. Refused to let me upgrade to a private room. Some things were broken in the dorm (fans, plug points, etc). Didn’t have that social aspect of a hostel.

A nice stay with lovely and welcoming staff. This hostel is mainly targeted towards Indian tourists rather than foreign, but the host did his best to help us out as much as possible despite his limited English! The room itself were very nice but the bathroom was a little unclean. The views from some dorms and rooms are nicer than others.

I recently stayed at Hotel Chakrah by Hermitage in Rishikesh, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience! The dorms were incredibly comfortable and felt very safe, which is so important when traveling solo. The property itself is peaceful and serene, offering a much-needed break from the usual hustle, yet it's located right in the heart of Tapovan, making it super convenient to explore all the nearby cafes, yoga centers, and attractions.The atmosphere was warm and welcoming.
