Staff very helpful and friendly. It was Ayoub’s first week and he was super kind and caring. Giving all necessary tips and help. Definitely recommend
The placement and the welcome are good. But there is honestly not much more to it. They do have a relatively nice rooftop where you can chill. The rooms are very average. The bathrooms are cleaned, but there is mould everywhere. So not specifically clean. There is very little privacy in the bathrooms, since there is no door and they give on the entry door. The breakfast is not worth including. The atmosphere in the hostel in non-existant. It wasn’t horrible but we would not go back
Super, super bien accueillie, une équipe agréable et gentille ! je recommande
I had a lovely time at Smile Hostel! I only stayed for one night, but it was exactly what I needed. Even though it's a bit hard to find, and in an alleyway, the interior is nice. I love a hostel that has curtains on the beds, and everything was comfortable. The breakfast in the morning was also lovely, and it was nice to have it on the rooftop terrace. Abdel, the staff, was also incredibly helpful whenever we needed something (including with figuring out taxis).
Had such a great time at Smile Hostel! Kudos to the staff (Abdel is so kind and courteous). The location is amazing, right in the Medina and close to everything. It was easy to meet fellow travellers. Totally worth the money (the breakfast is great!). I can only recommend it.
The receptionist Abdel made me felt welcomed the moment I stepped foot into the hostel. He may only be a receptionist but he is also a really cool person, had a good chat and gave me recommendations and tips when roaming around Morocco. The person who made my breakfast and cleaned the facility Noura, was really kind, made sure the rooms were clean and was really quick with the breakfast too. Overall my experience was great and would definitely recommend.
I spent some days at the smile hostel Marrakech, Abdel made our arrival super convenient, the dorms have curtains and the shower brings hot water ! I would absolutely recommend if you are visiting Marrakech and want to meet new people
great hostel, location was perfect, staff friendly and helpfull, the mattresses in the rooms could be more comfortable but for a few nights it’s okay. it’s probably not the most social hostel u have ever been to but u can meet great people everywhere if u want to;)
Absolute 5/5 this was my favorite of three hostels in Marrakech. Felt more like a hostel than the Riyad-hostels in the area. Clean place, small but cozy, great atmosphere, everyone is relaxed and sociable. I found other hostels in this busy and overstimulating area to be somewhat noisy but not so cozy so this place was a breath of fresh air. Abdel is such a lovely and helpful dude who we wish we would have met earlier in our trip. When I come back to Marrakech I'll be staying here!!!
Hostel was really nice, and in a great position to visit Marrakech. Abdul was really kind and helpful!
had a really terrible experience at this hostel in Marrakech. I only stayed two nights and honestly couldn’t bear it any longer. My room was located right next to the reception area, separated by just a thin wall. There was constant noise day and night — people talking, phones ringing, doors opening and closing. It was impossible to sleep or rest properly. The facilities were extremely poor. There was no proper place to store clothes, no lockers, and no basic storage options.
It’s a great price for what the hostel is especially with breakfast included. I paid for a female only dorm just with travelling to Morocco alone and wanted extra safety. The mattresses were uncomfortable and there is only 1 ‘bathroom’ for the whole hostel - 1x shower and 2x toilets. There was mould in the shower but other than that was quite clean. Could hear outside noise pretty easily inside and the quiet times is quite late from 11-8am. Would recommend if you just want somewhere to sle...
Hostel was nice, and the host was very helpful. However there was a rooster outside somwhere keeping us up in the night. Because of the open room we heard everything happening around us. The shower was also a bit nasty
I arrived late and outside of the check-in window, but Abdel was very kind and helped me get in in the middle of the night. I stayed in a private room and it was very comfortable. Breakfast was good too.
Great location Thanks to Abdel for his help
The Mango Room is the best. Everything is perfect Abdel is a best staff ever
Was fine. Friendly and helpful staff. Room on the ground floor was noisy as it was next to the entrance area and the wall did not close. So you heard everything and also saw the light from the hallway. Roof top was great.
It was soo good to stay here. The staff are perfect, the room is clean and the balcony is nice. Thank you 🤩
This hostel is perfect for groups and solo travelers. The beds are comfy and clean. The rooftop is beautiful and a nice area to relax after a busy day. The staff are beyond kind and the breakfast is delicious! The front desk worker, Adbel, answered any questions we had and made us feel right at home. Would definitely recommend if you want a calm sanctuary in Marrakech :)
