Le point de vue pour voir le volcan est top Mais l’endroit est très bruyant car près de la route Pas d’eau chaude dans notre chambre, évier boucher On avait pris un petit dej inclût, mais comme on est parti plus tôt ils n’ont pas voulu le faire à emporter Tours/excursions proposés cher par rapport aux autres hostels

The view of the volcano is very nice and the staff is very welcoming big shout to Lena, Toni and Isaac, they welcome you very warmly. They also propose tours which is convenient.

This was my first hostel experienced, and I thoroughly enjoyed it! The host Lena is incredible and cares very much for the well being of her guest. Their in-house tour guide Tony is very insightful and passionate, wanting to make sure you had a great experience. The atmosphere of the guests are largely friendly people ready to make friends. Great location. I recommend!

I enjoyed my time at the hostel ! The owner and the employee were the sweetest people ever. They took us on private adventures, have us good advice too. The roof is cool to chill. The bathroom was a bit dirty and always missing toilet paper, but that’s fine. Chill and cute hostel close to everything, I recommend it !!

I had a wonderful stay in a private room with shared bathroom. The water was hot and plentiful. Everyone was so welcoming. Lena is very accommodating and super responsive. It was a great base for my stay in La Fortuna. Just a few minutes walk to town and a club two doors down with a good vibe 🎶 Yes there is noise from the traffic so bring ear plugs and you will sleep well.

Don’t stay here, it’s horrible! Bathroom was absolutely filthy and falling apart, super noisy as on main road, windows don’t close properly so mosquitos everywhere and just generally awful, one of the worst places we stayed on our travels, plus very overpriced! The owners have made no attempt to get it to any kind of decent standard. The 1 star is for the lady who made us breakfast.

Le personnel est très sympa et a été plutôt arrangeant suite à un problème d'Hostelworld sur la réservation du petit déjeuner. Les lits sont confortables et les chambres se verrouillent avec un code donc on se sent en sécurité, mais l'hostel est quelque peu excentré (et immédiatement à côté d'une boîte de nuit, ce qui peut en gêner certains) et les équipements laissent un peu à désirer

This hostel was a-ma-zing! The host was so nice, the rooftop is really cool and we had so much fun with the activities in La Fortuna, but the chillings in the hostel were also really fun! The beds are good so you will sleep very well! you will have a great time in this hostel :)

This place was a great stay while in la fortuna. Many other options in town are pricey for backpackers and travelers on a budget but this place is a great value and the owner is very hospitable!

Super séjour au Blackout Hostel les lits et draps étaient super confortables

At first, I was a little iffy about staying at the hostel, but I grew to love blackout hostel along with the wonderful staff. The kitty was an added bonus. The only downside was no hot water, and no AC. Other than that, it was in a good location, and they had a car that the staff used to bring us on short drives to where we needed to go which was very nice and helpful. I feel I should also give a huge shoutout to one of the staff members, Tony. He was very helpful and super sweet.

Lena was a wonderful host and really made me feel at home right away. The room was simple but adequate and the location is phenomenal. This is not a 5-star resort, but the bed was comfortable and the room was clean. If you’re looking for a fun, laid back vibe with a really convenient location and super fair price this is your spot!

Nette Mitarbeiter, Zimmer sind sehr spartanisch eingerichtet. Wenig Steckdosen, keine Möglichkeiten irgendwas hinzuhängen oder abzustellen.

La dueña es un amor que te ayuda en todo lo que se puede pero el hostel está muy sucio, no tiene las condiciones de ser hostel en mi opinión, la habitación está muy sucia pero el personal muy amable y tienes una soda justo alado

Hat sich etwas angefühlt wie auf einer Baustelle. Die Küche war teils etwas ekelhaft und hat gerochen, das Geschirr hat sich immer gestapelt , da es keine Abtrockmöglichkeit gab. Im Zimmer hatte man kein Spind oder eine Ablage und auf dem Hochbett auch keine Steckdose oder sonstige Möglichkeit etwas aufzuhängen. Das Personal war allerdings super lieb und hilfsbereit!

At the first moment we met Lena, the owner, we felt so welcomed. With her open arms she helped us with everything. She has a little Kitten, Chico gato, and he enchants you immediately. We stayed at the 4 Bed Dorm and there you have everything you need and the beds are really comfortable. Even the shower has hot water. Such a need!! The kitchen is big and more than enough and they have tap water what you can drink. You definitely should stay and you have the best time. Thank you so much!!! :)

My friend and I had an amazing few days staying at Blackout Hostel. Lena and her team were very welcoming and available at any time for help. The location is great to get everywhere you need. Would definitely recommend and would return in the future!

One of the best hostels we ever stayed at. Lena goes the extra mile for all her guests and makes u feel right at home whatever your travel preferences are. A very big tip is to join the hot springs in the evening. With local tourguide Tony by your side you might even spot some animals. So much value for the price you are paying, we definitely will be back so i couldnt recommend enough! And if all of this didn’t convince you yet: go to meet the cutest kitten in the world
