Staff was friendly but not the best place to stay if you’re looking for something lively. No swimming access to lake but close to docks. Three story bunks also made rest a little rough

A very relaxing little hostel. Not much to do around Jaibalito but the perfect base if you want to be able to sleep. Lots of places to lounge. Hot shower.

Very cute place. Jaibalito was my fav lil village at the lake. It is truly just one street. The hostel is very cute. Nice little terrace/patio to chill and chat with ppl.

Facilities are great, hot showers, nice social areas, nice breakfast but lacking atmosphere and the girls dorm is really tiny. Mixed dorms are bigger though. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Not much to do in Jaibalito but easy to get to by lancha and can walk to Santa Cruz.

Very cute and cozy hostel in Jaibalito. It has the necessities but there isn’t much to do after the last Lancha. Very sleepy little town so I would recommend only if you want to recharge and do nothing.

There is nothing to do in Jaibalito. There are 3-4 restaurants. The day I arrived it was the last day of the owners and you felt they were really done with all of it. I just slept there 1 night, so I don’t know how it will be now. Big plus: the big hot showers. Best shower I had in days.

Art & Coffee had a lot of great people working and volunteering there, the atmosphere was great and everyone was so welcoming. Jaibalito was also an amazing place to get away and unwind.

One of the best places I’ve stayed at! It’s the perfect chill vibe in the small pueblito of Jaibalito - my favorite place in Guatemala and where I met the best people. The dock by the lake really is magical and you can reach all the other towns easily. Shout out to Oriana, Riley, Calum, Katie and Bee for making it feel like home. If you’re going to Lake Atitlan this would be my recommendation 100%!

This place was so cute! Small cabin vibe with very few rooms. Comfy beds, great common spaces, and a peekaboo view of the lake. Staff was super friendly and helped me out when I suddenly got sick. It’s located in a very small town, which could be a con for some, but I enjoyed how quaint it was. Great value for price :)

My favorite hostel while traveling in Guatemala! We stayed in a lofted private room, which was spacious and comfortable. The people who work at the hostel are all awesome! Colin, Be, and Katie created a welcoming vibe! From teaching yoga classes to cooking up delicious dishes in the kitchen, they do so much to make the place fun. Jaibalito is an otherwise quiet town (except for the random early-morning town announcements haha) so it was nice to be here where fun things were happening!

The owners, Tao and Judith, were the most amazing hosts! They really go above and beyond to make your stay super comfortable, and they have so many helpful suggestions and good recommendations on things to do, they really made us feel at home :) The location was also great and the hostel was super cute!

the place was great, and it was clean. I had the private room and it was cozy and comfy. no complains there. and the atmosphere is mostly what you'd expect from a small remote village. and it really depends on who else is staying. but I must admit with it being called the "art & coffee" hostel I just expected there to be some.... art and coffee. I mean they do have a standard coffee machine in the kitchen so there's that.

We were looking for a chill hostel and this was that! Walking distance to a swimming cove and La Casa Del Mundo. The private rooms were amazing and the showers were some of the best we had on our trip!! Only heads up would be dorms don’t have lockers or much space for your stuff.

Had a great stay at art and coffee. I will say the location says Santa Cruz but the actual hostel is in jabalito a small town. Personally we preferred it to the town of Santa Cruz anyway. Small and quiet and the hot shower was heavenly. Would stay again.

The hostel has opened only in february and my girlfriend and I were the first ones to book a double bed on Hostelworld. There was a mistake so we got an upgrade to a big 2 bed private room without any charge. The host was really friendly and gave as a personal introduction when we arrived. Most of the time there’s no one at the reception. The kitchen has a lot of potential but is REALLY badly equipped. At night there are loud noises. But Jaibalito is really authentic und we loved our stay.
