- Par où commencer ... l'hôtel est fait de containers, les chambres n'ont pas de fenêtre qui puisse s'ouvrir - claustrophobes s'abstenir ! Les chambres n'étaient jamais nettoyées et l'installation électrique de la douche dans la salle de bain était douteuse (on s'est pris du jus en levant le bras un peu trop eau dans la douche). On a demandé un remboursement car la chambre était invivable et irrespirable mais le propriétaire a refusé. Le personnel a tenté tant bien que mal de nous aider mais ils sont sous l'emprise des propriétaires, il y a des caméras partout, tout est compté: si vous demandez un peu de lait en plus de votre café, le personnel le note sur un cahier, si vous demandez une serviette en plus il faut impérativement rendre les autres... notre coffre fort ne pouvait pas s'ouvrir et l'un des membres du personnel nous a dit "ah bon, vous voulez l'utiliser ?" Au lieu de s'exécuter sans poser de questions. Nous avons payé plus de 100€ la nuit pour cette cellule de priser et le petit déjeuner était minable (1 œuf seulement !!) tant les propriétaires sont des radins. De plus l'hôtel est plutôt loin du centre et le bar et le café présents dans l'hôtel n'est jamais en activité le soir. C'est une pure arnaque, n'y allez pas !

la atmósfera no es buena. Los pods donde uno duerme son lo peor, escaleras difíciles y dormir incómodo en un espacio claustrofóbico. Las duchas y baños son asquerosos.
Je recommande. Bel endroit mais il faut s’attendre à marcher en pente ou prendre la voiture pour se rendre à la plage. Le personnel est très sympathique.
The hosts were really nice, but the hostel itself isn’t worth the money. It’s out of the way from everything, there’s construction being done nearby and on the property itself, it’s not very clean, and the beds weren’t comfortable so I had a terrible time trying to sleep. I think it has a lot of potential though, so in a few years from now it might be really great. But as of right now I’d recommend staying somewhere else.
Les pods sont marrants comme expérience, on dort très bien dedans. Le café et les plats proposés le matin sont supers bons (surtout smoothie à la mangue recommandé). La porte extérieure n’est pas toujours très fiable, pensez à demander le code avant si vous sortez le soir. Bien placé pour aller à la plage ou dans le centre et proche du night market qui est très sympa !
The pods are kind of a fail. There’s no AC control, just a fan. And oh, you can’t charge your phone while running your fan. I ended up getting better ventilation while keeping the pod doors open. I also had an issue with my pod on the last night where the electricity kept resetting and turning the overhead light on. No blankets, no hot water, not very social.
Das Bett ist sehr hart und unbequem, sehr hellhörig, duschen nur mit Kaltwasser. In der Nacht wurde es sehr kalt da ständig ein leichter Durchzug herrscht, auch wenn die Ventiltion ausgeschaltet ist. Dies ist glaub notwendig in der Kapsel, aber ich hatte immer Halsschmerzen am Morgen. Das Zimmer ist klimatisiert. Das Personal ist nett, aber sie verrechnen den falschen Betrag. Sie subtrahieren nicht die Vorauszahlung auf Hostelworld. Ich hoffe sie ändern das nun. Würde ich nicht mehr buchen.
I just had the best stay at this capsule hostel! The capsules are amazing, really private and innovative, you can manage your own AC and light so that’s really cool. Also they have a beautiful butterfly garden and the staff were super friendly ! 10/10!
Staff were so lovely, hostel was very clean and everything we hoped it would be. Would definitely recommend!
Worst hostel experience! Very badly Run! This is a new hostel so I think that's why they haven't got a system in place yet. When I arrived all lights were off and no reception or anything , just a sign with a WhatsApp number. At night they lock up the whole facility so you are unable to get in! They say security should be there to let you in but he's nowhere to be seen. Again you have to call the WhatsApp number middle of the night and wait outside in the storms. Location isn't ideal.

Had an amazing stay in the Pupa House! Owner and staff are so welcoming and happy to help! Had great conversations with them! It’s a new hostel, so kitchen will be installed soon. Liked that it’s a bit out of town. Breakfast is a 10/10!!
Amazing experience! Pod was cozy, adjustable temp. & had for phone charging. As you wake up & open it, you see the gorgeous 🦋 garden behind the window. Food omg, to die for, healthy & yummy, made by Nico w very unic & special ingredients. Lastly, I appreciate the host, Gaspar, who was kind & attentive to my arrival, I got there 12am. Huge shoutout to staff Nico, Josefina, Gaspar and Cris, super lovely always! Fully rec it to whoever wants a cool, modern, budget friendly place to stay! Ty Pup...
Really nice hostel to stay at in Tamarindo. It’s a short walk away from the center so it’s nice to go back to a quiet environment. I absolutely loved to stay in a pod too ! The staff is lovely and helpfull.

Very clean, new and good placement. Love that you have your own little pod where you can reglate ac and lightning, usb and usb-c ports. Good solutions for the whole property in general! The best staff you can wish for Pasha, Maria and Ali all makes you feel like home.
Wow, where do I even start? The staff left such a deep impression on me with their amazing hospitality, genuine friendliness, and unwavering honesty. It's hard to put into words just how much their warmth meant to me. And you're absolutely right about the facilities – they were beyond anything I could have imagined. The pods were downright cool! Very nice and new hostel! Has a nice vibe, cool staff, and the pods are amazing! They give you a lot of privacy what is not something you get often in a hostel. They also have a nice cafe during the day that looks very good! Also they have a butterfly garden in their courtyard, which is pretty cool! The butterflies are so pretty! Sadly they don’t have a kitchen or a fridge, but the hostel is still pretty new. I’m hoping they will add at least a fridge soon! Overall great stay.
