Dream Sea was amazing!! I wish I had booked here longer because the community was so welcoming and the vibes were vibrant. The events that they organize are so much fun and yoga every morning was in such an amazing location. Loved every minute of it.
Loin de la plage mais sinon, il y a tout le nécessaire sur le site. Sinon, rien à dire pour les lits et la propreté un gros 10/10. Cependant, il n’y avait pas de casier et pas de clé pour la porte de notre dorm…
Strongly discourage staying if 25 or older. Mistakenly did not read other reviews. This place is beautiful but should be advertised for what it is: a party/drinking camp for 18-22 year-olds. The setting is nice, but not serene and relaxing outside of early morning and during the day when most people are at the beach. dynamic between “guests” and “volunteers” can be a little odd too. There were about 40 or more volunteers from worldPackers and a handful of people who are full paying guest...
The people make the place!! Age is rather young, but that just make the vibes better. It‘s more of a party hostel, everyday there‘s something to do. Most of the people volunteer, but I loved the people I met there, which made it an amazing stay, I didn‘t want to leave and extended twice. The rooms are kinda dirty, showers very basic, but I mean it‘s in the middle of the jungle, there are more important things. Ubering back all the time costs a lot of money, but pool and hot tub 10/10
Had a good time at the hostel but I think it’s overpriced if you’re not a volunteer. Very good for meeting people and they organise lots of social activities (many though which you need to pay additional fees for). The manager of the hostel can come across quite unfriendly at times which I think affects the overall vibe.
We stayed in a glamping tent and it was clean and super nice! Since everyone at dreamsea is volunteering, it’s a different vibe then other hostels
If you're considering coming as a guest or someone who wants surf lessons, seriously, don't. If you want to come as a volunteer, you'll probably have lots of fun, but there are soo many other, more interesting, less for-profit places to spend your time and energy. Nothing against the staff or volunteers here, I ended up having a really funny time at Dreamsea. It's just not a surf camp, which is what I thought I was booking, and it is WILDLY overpriced for what you get once you're there. Again, I...
Great place with a great vibe. Everyone is very friendly and social. WiFi is great. Food is a bit expensive if you’re not a volunteer.
Wonderful surfcamp with enthusiastic staff and many activities + organised meals, trips, surf lessons and excursions
Staff wasn’t friendly, especially Danny. No locks on the door, no security boxes, no hot water, no communication from the staff regarding the camp rules (everything we’ve learned was by the accident because campers told us). It was also located very far away from the beach (in a forest 40minuted walk from the main area).
Very fun cute atmosphere, great place to make friends. Some staff were a bit rude, but everyone else was super friendly and nice. They do a good job of making you feel welcome. Facilities are pretty bare bones, all outside and not super clean, easy to get sick. A bit pricey for what you get and you really don’t have any privacy but 100% would do it again for the overall experience
Good spot, good vibes!
Nice hostel, although far away from town. Have to Uber everywhere ($5 per trip) unless you take the hostel shuttle, which leaves at 11 and returns at 6. Crowd is extremely young, like 18-21. Food is delicious. Daniel, Nati, the shuttle driver Marcos are super nice!
Our experience at dreamsea was widely affected by the people that we met while here. We stayed for two weeks in a private room with a bathroom. Our experience would have been very different if the accommodation was. We didn’t realize that surf lessons were not included and the excursions and dinner were all extra things we paid for and I believe it was very expensive for the quality. Overall we met really cool people in a beautiful place, I do feel the value for money is very low as a guest.
Les parties communes et la tente sont vraiment super. Dommage que ça ressemble plus à une colonie de vacance qu’à une auberge de jeunesse (il y avait une trentaine de jeunes volontaires contre 5 clients)
Average age is rather young and there are a lot more volunteers then guests, but the vibes are amazing and I met incredible people there! It is a little outside of town, but you could easily get an Uber and I personally loved that it was located right in the jungle. Very chill place with daily yoga lessons, but great for partying as well.
amazinggg!! because most guests were volunteers it meant everyone stayed longer and got to know each other, the communal meals and group activities made sure everyone got involved and felt apart of the tribe. the shuttle service everyday meant getting to town was easy and they also organized excursions. great place to make friends and i wished i could have stayed longer ! my favorite hostel ive been to. most people were aged around 18-20 tho
Amazing staff and location! Would definitely go back
More volunteers than guests when we stayed there. Location is 30 minutes out of town. If you stay there expect not to leave.
Onze kamer is nooit schoongema...
