El Caite Hostel

The pool got renovated which means there was no pool but also no discount because of that. They started the construction work of the pool at 7 am every morning. The fans in the dorms were extremely loud and the included bathroom there was smelling really bad so I used the public bathrooms in the hostel. But there was nothing to hang or put stuff on and the doors did not close. Furthermore, there was no real hostel atmosphere so I wouldn‘t recommend going there if you want to meet people.

We did not enjoy the atmosphere in the hostel at all. Rooms were very substandard, especially a private two bed room. None of the dorms had air conditioning, only fans that either did not work or were extremely loud. The staff members were not very helpful, and lied to us about the card machine being broken - only when we insisted that we had no cash to pay did the card machine magically fix itself. The area also felt very unsafe - even locals told us so. We ended up leaving early

Excelente ubicación, cerca del parque central. El personal amable. Podrían mejorar en aspectos de limpieza y mantenimiento: la piscina estaba sucia y con hongos. La cortina de baño igual. Los cuartos compartidos no tienen tomacorrientes solo en el baño. No hay donde poner el jabón al bañarse.

Sehr tolle Unterkunft, es gibt sogar ein kleines Frühstück - sehr nette staff

Completely overbooked. Arrived to be told our beds weren’t available having booked a week prior to arriving. Argued with reception 2.5 hours finally got given 2 beds in a female dorm we are 2 males. Families with young children were made to sleep outside in common area on hammocks and others got put in expensive hotels and hostel didn’t help with costs. Bathroom and bins didn’t get cleaned daily which they needed. Pool was filthy. Not worth it despite its good location. & No kitchen or AC.

They over booked a lot of people so they told everyone as they arrived that they didn’t have a bed for them. Some ended up sleeping on a sofa outside because the whole of Granada was booked. On the bother hand it was an amazing location, good breakfast, wifi in the room. No air con in the room. Just be careful especially if you’ve booked over the weekend.

Nice pool, nice communal area - lots of sofas. Beds comfy. God communal area. Bad wifi, most rooms have no wifi, even the communal area is very weak. The fans are not quite strong enough so rooms are very hot. On our stay, they hotel was over booked by 15ish people and they all had to sleep outside - reviews suggest this is a common occurrence. Breakfast only option is breakfast typical and very small. Free rum punch hour was awkward, we had to ask at reception

We stayed here over Easter long weekend and it was a mess. They double booked so many people and had young families sleeping on couches. The pool was absolutely disgusting and not as pictured, and the bed sheets were thin and sweaty with the extreme heat. Staff were lovely but god spend the money on an air con room somewhere else.

When we arrived there were about 15 people waiting in reception. They overbooked and there were no beds free. They offered no solution and no compassion for their mistake. Staff were super rude.

The location was perfect , close to everything . The staff was really friendly . The breakfast was good but the eggs were too salty. The showers were refreshing but no hooks to hang your towel etc. There is not really a hostel vibe and the pool is dirty

Clean, comfortable and safe. Not too social but has the potential to be with pool and large sitting area. Breakfasts are nice but small. Definitely recommend getting the room with AC as Granada gets hot

Wonderful, relaxed vibe. Pool was so nice for chilling and cooling off throughout the hot days. Breakfasts provided were small but delicious. Dorms were fine, sheets didn’t stay on the mattresses well but if you adjust them each night they’re okay. All in all I loved this affordable stay close to the main city area!

We were shocked to notice bed bugs in our private room. We notified a member of staff that night but he dismissed it immediately, saying it wasn't bed bugs. We changed hostels that night and spoke with new members of staff the following morning who still tried to charge us for the night. Extremely disappointing.

Good stay centrally located in Granada. Great AC Bathroom wasn’t very clean even when I asked for bins to be emptied etc

Loved my stay, all the common sights and activities are super close. Would love if it had a kitchen though.

When we arrived at the hostel after booking on Hostelworld we were told there was no space for us to stay as they were fully booked and their system doesn’t link up with Hostelworld. They did not help us find an alternative hostel and would not refund our deposit. Do not book with hostelworld

Such an underrated hostel! Free breakfast was a nice surprise and really delicious (tipico Nica breakfast). Beds were really comfortable and fans were powerful. Lots of charging plugs. Bathrooms could do with a bit of a makeover but still pretty clean (although some hooks for towels & clothes would be good!). The social vibe wasn’t amazing for solo travellers but in a group it would be perfect and very affordable!
