Id recommend El Paradiso over this if you’re looking to be by the lagoon! Not very social at all- more for families + day-trippers than backpackers. The dorm was alright- a bit dark and cramped but did the job. The food is expensive and not very good (go to the local comedor 2 mins down the road for a plate for 200C!). The actual lakefront is nice- but better with more space and places to sit in El Paradiso. I personally wouldn’t go back, but if you’re looking to have some time to yourself...
Este lugar es increíble y todos súper amables!!!
Nice hostel, very basic and extremely hot in the dorms, food very expensive for what it is, but beautiful location and free kayaks and paddle boards
it is not really a hostel, more a resort for daytrippers. Although it is clean and the staff is quite friendly, it is quite expensive (food for example) and the kitchen is unusably terribly designed - missing proper cutlery for example. Not a social atmosphere whatsoever and all the day trip people make it even more chaotic, making you not feel at home at all. Bar service is mediocre and the food is not up to par for what you are paying. as backpackers i would go somewhere else, otherwise its ok
all in all a nice hostel, it's a little bit sad that they have nearly no vegetarian or vegan food options in the restaurant, the rooms were fine but the fans didn't really work
Not social at all. This is a resort. But nice water in the laguna. Day trip is enough.
Très bel hostel si vous êtes à la recherche d’un endroit calme!
Can't wait to come back. Also,Lucy is very informative and helpful. Now, if we could muzzle that one Rooster to not awaken at 4:20 and wait for sunrise at 6:15 like all his other friends.
Laguna Beach Club is a special paradise. We extended our 4 day stay to 6 as we did not want to leave. A cure to the chaos you experience travelling (especially for those long term nomads). We swam every day, the common areas and bathrooms are super clean and the staff are so warm and welcoming. I can't recommend this spot enough, escaping the heat amoungst the trees and in the laguna. WiFi drops out once day pass guests arrive, so maybe not the best for digital nomads unless can work around
Really beautiful property right on the laguna. More so a resort than a hostel. So tranquil and peaceful and the staff was nice. There were lots of dogs barking at night but not much they can do about that! Otherwise it was a lovely stay.
One of the best places I’ve staying ever on my travels. Beautiful setting with lots to do. Dorm room was very comfortable and had great fans.
Great place and the staff were amazing but when I watched them get ready for new guests they didn’t change the sheets just tightened them and left the same pillow case on - very unhygienic. Other than that everything was fantastic.
We loved our stay at Laguna Beach Club! You definitely have to visit Laguna de Apoyo when in Nicaragua. We visited in October, which is slow season, so there wasn't much of an atmosphere here, but we did really enjoy the Laguna. Not many options for restaurant, if you stay here you can bring your own food to prepare in the shared kitchen, or you can eat at their restaurant. Absolutely loved Kika the diving dog, she made our stay so memorable! (No air conditioning unfortunately just 1 fan)
