- Das Fenster unseres Zimmers war auf den Aufenthsltsbereich gerichtet und wir mussten für etwas Privatsphäre immer die Jalousien unten lassen. Duschkopf und Wasserhan müssen dringend entkalkt werden.
+ This is an amazing surf camp (or place to stay)! The facilities and common area is beautifully designed and invites you to hangout, the food is sooo delicious and I loved the joint dinner opportunity which feels like eating with family. And there is a great place to practice yoga or join the daily yoga classes in the evening. While I originally didn’t come to surf, I took some private lessens and the teachers where very patient and you could tell their experiences in teaching as well as surfing 🏄 The volunteers as well as Marta, the Manager (with her lovely dog) where always super friendly, welcoming and helpful! 💕 The location is wow, a 5min walk from the camp through the jungle where you can see monkeys will lead you to a marvellous beach 🏝️, which is still free from restaurants, bars or sun chairs. Loved it! While they informed me about constructions nearby after booking which made we worry a bit, those where totally fine as you are out on the water/ beach most of the time and they also compensate with trip opportunities or joint activities on the beach - don’t worry, Pura Vida!

+ My stay was absolutely amazing – I even ended up extending twice because I just didn’t want to leave :) The manager, volunteers and staff do a great job making sure everything runs smoothly and that you always feel welcome. Good vibes every single day, and full of positive energy. Whether it’s surfing, joining the activities, or just chilling, you instantly feel like part of one big family. And its also easy to have some time for your own whenever you want to, super relaxed. For me, it’s hands down one of the best places to surf, especially with Jefferson (best coach), to have fun, and meet incredible people from all over the world. I’ll definitely be back!
Das Surfhouse war sehr schön! Es war immer sehr sauber und jeden Tag wurde das Bett gemacht. Die Mitarbeitenden waren super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Es wurde ausgezeichned gekocht! Mit Kenneth als lokaler Surflehrer hat man sich im Wasser sehr wohlgefühlt und er ist individuell auf die Bedürfnisse eingegangen. Ich würde das Surfhouse sicher weiterempfehle!

+ Friendly staff, great location and well designed property. The volunteers make sure to create a nice atmosphere.
- There is a big construction going right next door that makes a lot of noise during the day, very loud and annoying, plus the workers. I went there to surf and relax but this was impossible during the day. The hostel sent an email after the booking was confirmed saying "noise levels will be moderate", which is incorrect, as the noise levels are not moderate at all. The problem is that there is no mention of the construction (that seems to have started a while ago) on the listing, and that they only inform you after the booking has been done. I only found out once I arrived as I did not see the email beforehand (through booking website). Other than that, the dorm is very small for 6 people, the wooden bunk beds are pretty uncomfortable, no place to store your stuff and no A/C. There is no kitchen and if you want to eat it's 25$ for a family dinner. Everything is overpriced my opinion. They should at least lower their prices during the construction and include this important detail in the listing.
+ Location was amazing. And the nearby beach is incredible. Staff were friendly and helpful with good food options and a nice breakfast.
- More on us I think but it is certainly more of a hostel than hotel and privacy and noise weren't 100% ideal at times but a minor complaint.
+ Emplacement au top, à 5min à pied d’une des plus belles plages du Costa Rica, playa Hermosa. La chambre individuelle est très belle, beaucoup d’activités proposées par l’hôtel. Ambiance au rêve de jeunesse. Offre de restauration complète et bonne sur place.
- Peu d’offre de restauration à proximité, obligation de faire 15min de voiture sur un chemin abîmé pour accéder au centre de Santa Teresa.

Had an amazing stay here. Impossible to explain how friendly everybody is here. The volunteers who make sure everything you need is sorted. Rooms are immaculately maintained by cleaners. Daily breakfast always so tasty! The surf instructors are really cool and super knowledgeable. Both fluent English speakers to make it Easier for learners not Spanish speakers, would recommend anybody to stay here. The beach is a short 5 min walk away through the jungle which makes experience even cooler.

+ La amabilidad del personal. tuvimos un incidente con la llave del cuarto (que no funcionó) pero buscaron la forma de compensarnos. El estilo del hotel muy bonito. En verdad muy agradable.
+ Marina, the manager was a very comforting young lady, always available engaging everyone to play varies games, walking on the beach in a group and eating dinner together was very special also. I was the oldest in the group and had a lot of fun with the young travellers.
- Not having a vehicle and the distance to restaurants or Santa Teresa was a little difficult to get to. My suggestion would be to have a vehicle available at a reasonable rate at least twice weekly, if necessary
+ I love this place and highly recommend it. Everything was so clean and exactly as the pictures. It is beautiful, comfortable, and food was amazing. Also, the staff is so nice and welcoming. This is a great option if you want to disconnect and being in middle of the nature. Very close to the beach and 20 mins to drive to the town.
