Beautiful room, very clean and in a good location. The staff were so lovely and the hostel owner even organised a surprise birthday cake for my friend! Free laundry and tea/coffee. Would definitely stay here again :)
had a big issue with our booking, I emailed to change the dates and got told to text someone, I text and didn't hear back so emailed again. they said the booking had been changed to the new dates and I responded confirming that this was for two people. I got an email back asking me to text another number, who again confirmed the new booking. however, when we got there they only booked us for one day instead of two which was really frustrating. other than that it was great! free washings a bonus
If you‘re looking for a very relaxed and chill vibe this hostel is definitely for you. It is a small hostel and you walk 5 minutes to the beach. I even extended my trip. The people who work there were super nice and everything was clean!
Thehostel has a chill relaxed atmosphere, a relief from the the busy main street in Weligama whilst still only being aa few minutes walk away, the dorm room was clean, comfortable beds with curtains and a plug/light and the outdoor kitchen/ bathroom was always cleaned and well maintained.The staff were so friendly and helped organise onwards travel, the property is slightly out of the way so may be tricky walking back as a solofemale in the dark though i personally had no issues. Overall, great!
Great hostel, I stayed in the private room with a garden which was amazing, felt like a hotel room. My own private outdoor shower after surfing was so nice as well. Hostel is associated with a really nice surf school as well. 5 minute walk to the beach. Kamindu was really hospitable, great guy. No meals made onsite, so I ate externally.
The Manager was really nice, very helpful and always reachable when you needed something. Booking surf lessins was also very uncomplicaded. It wasnt the most social place since there is only one dorm with 8 people ans it just highly depends on whos staying there during the time youre there. The kitchen was also very well equiped.
Nice Hostel. The single room was super clean and nice. Staff is real friendly and they do your laundry for free. On the downside the common area is only two tables and there‘s only one dorm so it’s not super social. Plus in the upper single room you can hear the nearby train passing by quite loudly, starting between 6 and 7 in the morning.

Kickin' hat einen richtig schönen Vibe. Man kann sich gut erholen, hat sehr bequeme Betten in den Dorms und genug Möglichkeiten sich in Hängematten zu entspannen. Gleichzeitig ist der Strand nicht weit entfernt und man hat alles in der Nähe was man braucht. Die Surf Lodge bietet sogar einen Laundry Service und Surfkurse an. Mich hat die Unterkunft an ein kleines Surfcamp erinnert. Die Besitzer sind sehr aufmerksam und gastfreundlich. Ich werde definitiv nochmal zurückkommen. Herzensempfehlu...
10/10 hostel kavindu is the best host!! big rooms, air con was amazing, hot showers, good social vibes and uncle even let me sling shot monkeys (in a nice way) thank you!! we will 100% be back
The BEST place I stayed at on my entire six months of travelling!! The rooms were big and comfortable, the location is really good, all the staff are extremely kind and welcoming, great social vibes and really nice common area for chilling. Will 100% be returning!! A great place to work and relax, especially if you enjoy a more outdoor, laid-back setup. This hostel is perfect to get some work done. There’s a mix of a dorm and private rooms, and most of the space is outdoors. With a small bar, hammocks, chill area and spots to work. The staff is very attentive and sweet, always up for a chat and happy to give tips. They also collaborate with a surf school, which is a nice bonus if you’re interested. Staff were so friendly and welcoming, we had a private room which was so clean and nice! Easy check in and amazing location!! Would recommend to anyone!!

Kickin surf is a great hostel, I wish I could have stayed longer! The rooms are great, the shared room was perfect for me. Location is very central. It’s chilled vibes but in a lovely way.
Kleine, abdr sehr saubere und schöne Unterkunft in super Lage. Die Mitarbeitenden sind total herzlich! Insgesamt eher ruhig und wenig Gelegenheiten, um zu connecten. Bei meinem Aufenthalt wurde es eher als co-working space genutzt. Ansonsten alles top:)
