Odyssey Guesthouse

Review part 2 -- guesthouse was started and has been run by Ersin since around 20 years ago. It has a very charming open-air terrace covered by beautiful vines that do double duty by providing shade against the sun; perfect for spending lazy afternoons reading a book or chatting with erstwhile strangers. There is also a direct view of the Red Basilica from the terrace and on clear nights one can see the crescent moon high above the surrounding hills against the velvet blue sky.

This stay at Odyssey Guesthouse marked the end of my three-week journey across Turkey and the Balkans. I specifically wanted to explore Bergama and had booked several nights at this guesthouse. I was unfortunately delayed in Çanakkale on the first night and only arrived the next day but the host Ersin kept my booking and assigned me to another available room, which was greatly appreciated. I enjoyed staying in Odyssey. The owner gave me a room to myself even thought I booked a dorm. I especially enjoyed staying in the building which is over 100 years old.. it is so quaint. There is a patio with grapes overhanging that I enjoyed too. I love the location. It is close to the Acropolis and a cute little town. I will remember this hostel with fondness.

It was a wonderful stay in a lovingly curated place. Ersin was a welcoming host. The house is just amazing in every way.

El dueño fue muy simpático y hospitalario. Destacar la limpieza del lugar, de los lugares más limpios que hemos estado en nuestro viaje por Turquía. Respecto a la ubicación, estaba en un sitio muy poco turístico, muy local.

Este lugar es increíble, el mejor hostal que me he quedado en Turquía, es una casa antigua bien conservada que te hace retroceder en el tiempo, tiene un aire de paz espectacular. Una terraza con vista a la iglesia roja que te deja sin palabras, desayuno libre, variado y completo. Debí quedarme 1 una noche y pasé 3!! No quería irme nunca, espero volver y pasar mucho tiempo allí. El dueño es muy amable y siempre sonríe. Es un estilo muy vintage que combina con el casco antiguo.

É uma excelente opcao sem duvida e um custo beneficio incrivel, mas tenha em mente que você pode ficar em um local onde a vista que está por aqui não existe (está em outra rua). De todo modo ficaria novamente.

Top Lage, ein wirklich dem Gast zugewandter Hostelbesitzer. Ales vor Ort, ob Sehenswürdigkeiten, Restaurants, Lebensmittel, alles fussläufig zu erreichen. Super ausgestattete Küche mit tollem Frühstück und mit einer Dachterrasse welche ein Traum ist. Gerne wieder!

Excelente ubicación, muy cercano al acropolis y lugares para comer/hacer compras. Habitación cómoda y cocina muy completa. Personal muy amable.

无可挑剔，值得推荐。地理位置特别好，每一个景点都可以步行到达。环境氛围超赞。顶楼的视野绝了正对着red hall.

Great experience at Odyssey. Awesome location, owner was very helpful in recommending places to eat, facilities were fantastic. Highlight was the amazing terrace rooftop overlooking the town. Was quite whilst we where there in mid May but can imagine it gets nice and busy/social during peak season. Highly recommend.

Great place to stay. Everything you want to see in the city is just a short walk away.

Superbe guesthouse au style traditionnel. Hôte accueillant et arrangeant (checkin et check out faciles, avec possibilité de laisser les bagages) Nous avions réservé deux lits en dortoir de 4 avec douches communes. A notre arrivée, nous avons eu un vrai appartement équipé à nous seuls pour le même prix. Tout était très propre! Situé à 5 min de la basilique rouge, et du telepherique de l'acropole.
