Coco Hostels - Arugambay

I’ve been traveling across Asia for more than six months and ten countries, and this is by far the most disgusting hostel I’ve ever stayed in. The bed is acceptable, but the rooms have no windows, making the air quality very poor. The toilets and showers are likely in worse condition than most prisons in South America. The whole place is disgusting. The hostel looks nothing like the pictures, beware!

Very small hostel so not much going on. only one bathroom for the whole hostel which wasnt super clean but the room was clean. staff were lovely and do some events

Knus en gezellig hostel op een goede locatie! Lekker gegeten op het family dinner. Bedden hebben veel privacy en zijn donker dus heb heerlijk geslapen

Good cheap hostel in arugam bay. Atmosphere is good and it is very close to the beach.

There was a cockroach next to my face when I woke up don’t stay here until they fix cleanliness

The best staff ever ever ever!! So so helpful- even brought my shoes all the way to Colombo for me when I left them here. Super great location too

Quaint and cosy hostel right in town, super close to the beach. Chill vibe, easy check in, and really friendly staff. They have small café that has some great food and beverages too. Fayas, the owner, is a great guy who helps with good local tips and gets you fair prices on boards and other rentals. Great spot for backpackers and travellers looking for a relaxed stay.

I had the best time here. The food is super good, the people that work there are really kind and the owners are lovely. I would recommend it 100%! Also the location is the best!!!!

Premier guest de la saison, mon séjour dans l’hostel s’est clôturé à cause de cafards dans mon lit deux nuits de suite.. J’ai fait part de mon expérience au staff, ils m’ont remercié et m’ont informé qu’ils faisaient le nécessaire pour nettoyer le dortoir de 6 afin que cela n’arrive plus. Not a lot going on there and if you don't have the AC room you will die at night

The private room is really not worth the high price. There are ventilation holes through which the air from outside comes including the bad fumes from the neighbours. My friend was staying in the dorm and immediately left as it was boiling hot, bad fumes and the lower beds or on the floor.

the good location, crisp AC and best wifi in all Arugam can compensate for lack of hostel atmosphere and common area. cool concept of pods in a bed. cheap price and good for people looking for a mellow affordable experience.

Not a very social hostel but such great location! Guy managing the hostel is helpful and friendly. Breakfast at the cafe is great! Saw spiderwebs n a huge spider in the bathroom outside. The a/c in the room was not cold enough, the other room with the fans are somehow cooler(I stayed in both)

Coco Hostel ist ein Traum und vor allem der Besitzer ist witzig und nett. Ich habe mich außerordentlich wohl gefühlt und könnte dort gut entspannen. Wäre gerne länger geblieben. Die Unterkunft ist geschmackvoll und sauber.Sehr zu empfehlen!
