Quelle ambiance, quel accueil, que dire de plus ?! L’auberge Chez Jean est l’endroit le plus chaleureux que l’on parte à la découverte de Québec que l’on y passe en habitué; il me tarde de découvrir Chez Jean by Nora et toutes les pépites

Located in the trendy plateau area, you’re very well connected to all the sites. Good ambiance in the hostel, felt it was very easy to connect with fellow travellers over the free breakfast. The interior gives a great homey vibe. Merci bcp à clément et l’équipe !

Très bon séjour, nous avons prévu d’y revenir lors de notre retour à Montréal. Idéalement placé, très bonne ambiance.

Rapport qualité prix imbattable à Montréal. Présence de deux chats qui a été une belle surprise 🤗

What an amazing Hostel, I felt like I was in a artists studio in SoHo NY, I was created by Johnathan who made me feel welcome. They have two cats that wander around and join you.

One of places that we need more in the world. A community vibes where sharing is the core value.. Definitely a place we want to come back and feel it as a home.

Tout est là pour passer un bon séjour, par exemple les cuisine bien équipées. L'auberge a une atmosphère très familiale et agréable. Le seul inconvénient était que le matelas et le lit n'étaient pas très confortables, mais dans l'ensemble, ce n'était pas si grave.

Location is great and love the laid back vibes! Definitely worth it for the budget travel price. I had a private room and I was very happy with it. I enjoyed hanging in the common area out in the sun in the mornings. The staff was very friendly. I'd stay here again on my next trip to Montreal. Location is Great!

Séjours agréable

The domitory room was messy, but basically the other facilities are clean and organized. But the toilet door on the terrace is hard to be locked out. Shower hot water is week,it made me stressed a bit. WiFi is strong,no problem.

The overall space is cluttered and cramped. It seems clean but doesn’t feel clean due to the clutter. Bathroom are odd with one outdoors and very tiny and one that is fairly large. The space feels random without deliberate planning. Staff are nice but did not feel like a traditional hostel but rather like a hodge podge space and I felt safe but not relaxed.

Probably the worst hosteling experience I have had. The place was unclean with no clear indication of where light switches are for the toilets and the doors were creaky, so good luck trying to get into a room without waking everyone up if you arrive late. The parking was in a random place with no lights or camera so if you get unlucky and get anything stolen, thats on you btw. The staff was the only good thing, they were friendly and fast in any requests we had but the place itself is not good.

Mon séjour d'une nuit s'est très bien passé, j'ai même eu l'agréable surprise de me retrouver dans une chambre de 4 lits au lieu de celle de 6 que j'avais réservée (et en plus, nous n'étions que 2). L'auberge est idéalement située et dispose de tout le nécessaire. De plus, le petit-déjeuner inclus dans le prix de la chambre est varié (pain, croissants, fruits, céréales, café...) et Jean est très sympathique ! Je recommande :)

Amazing hostel! Friendly staff, well thought out facilities, comfortable, affordable and everything was just a walk away to get to some amazing places in Montreal! Had a great time and will definitely be coming back :)
