JO&JOE Budapest

Great hostel, I stayed for two nights in an 8 bed female dorm. Was very clean and modern/new. 24/7 reception that were super friendly and helpful. Good location, walking distance to most tourist places and many bars and restaurant. What would make it even better would be if they had a shelf by the bed, a towel and more space between the beds. I would come back here.

The location is incredible, close to everything, the staff are generous, very friendly, always attentive and close to their customers.

One thing I will say about this place is that it is *spotless*. I always saw staff cleaning. However, I think because it’s a new hostel in a huge building with a restaurant, a bar, meeting rooms etc it doesn’t really have an identity. This also means that every type of traveller stays here - for me that meant being woken up at 3am by two very drunk naked men. That said, the staff handled the situation really well and kindly allowed me to switch rooms.

A really nice hostel, feels more like a hotel! Everything is new and updated, and my room was really spacious. I appreciated how the layout allowed me to have privacy in a corner with a window. There’s also bathrooms and showers inside the room which is so nice. Bed isn’t the comfiest ever but I still rested well. Great location in a central area, safe and secure, would definitely return!

Perfect location in Budapest for sightseeingsightseeing and parties! I wasn't blown away by the atmosphere, it felt a bit too clean and orderly for my taste...

Mixed feelings about this hostel. The building was lovely and room was really nice, however the heating was broken and our room got sweltering hot, staff tried to fix it but ended up heating room more, told us to wait till next day when it could get fixed. Also had to pay €30 to use storage lockers for half a day, which seemed very expensive and a rip off. Lastly, stay was for a birthday celebration in a private 4-bed room, we asked if they could do anything to make it special and they said no...

Best hostel I have stayed in yet. Super cool looking and best for if you are looking for a little freedom.

Loves it here ! Clean, modern and has good social events ! Staff are there to help with everything. Relaxed and in an amazing location !

Joe and Jo will give you a decent clean room and the staff were polite, but beyond that, don’t expect any signs of communal life in this faceless, corporate machine, in which there are bizarrely few places to comfortably sit, never mind meet people. The foyer feels like the lobby of a tech company and the kitchen is tiny, with a few microwaves, and is reappropriated in the evenings so they can use it as a cloakroom for the bar, which is where they actually want you to be.

Great hostel, brilliant location. Really enjoyed my stay! The bartender Nori was great and made the stay even better.

Highly recommend it!! Probably one of the best hostels I’ve been to! Super clean and tidy, the crew had extra hospitality, good environment, super nice rooftop! Overall a 10/10!

Loved my stay here, the staff were nice and the room felt clean and safe! I would absolutely stay here again, and had a great time in Budapest!

New, modern, comfortable, clean and the staff are very friendly and efficient. The downside is the lack of a tourist atmosphere; there are many common areas, but none of them are conducive to socializing; For a large hostel with two bars and a great terrace, it needs more entertainment, but I'm sure it will improve in the first part of the year and in the summer. They're doing their best. The breakfast is very expensive For a bite to eat, there's a basic buffet. The best hostel in the city.

Helpful staff. Clean and secure rooms. Anything you really want out of a hostel. Could be a little closer to things in town, but it’s near a metro stop.

This place is super centric , very close to everything and the security is very safe .

Irem the guy at the bar was really great. Had some great suggestions on where to get food and what to do.
