Ivory Tower Hostel

I made a reservation, but nobody answered when I arrived. And everybody told me this hostel has been closed a long time ago. Hostelwolrd.com shouldn't allow this hotel anymore. I don't want any other victim from now on. Also, I need to get a refund for the reservation fee.

Doesn’t exist anymore. I arrived at 9pm, nobody answered the ringing bell. I asked the barman of the bar at the corner and he told me the hostel hasn’t been working since 3/4 months. I would be good if it could be removed from the plateform so people do not end up in the same mess as me.

For today I had made a reservation Number: 333166-574230578 at "Ivory Tower" hostel, Sofia, 60 Samuil St. I want to make the advertisement, since the hostel is not working at all and I was not able to realize my night! The phone indicated in the application +359 8276 2442 does not answer at all. I would like to be refunded the amount paid for the reservation made to the card with which I paid. Rumen Danov!

There were bedbugs in the room. I went to the next room and there were bedbugs there too. I went to the room upstairs and there were bedbugs there too. I left the hostel at 3 a.m. without any sleep and went to the train station to sleep. Even spending the night in the train station in the noodle shops seemed like a luxury to me. There were insects crawling all over my clothes and in my backpack. I still have bites and itching all over my body. I paid extra to the hammam and laundry... :(((

Esta bien situado, nos recibió la persona muy bien, calefacción en la habitación y los baños, pero no estaba muy limpió

I arrived to check in at 7pm. I rang the doorbell, no answer. 2 hrs later, the owner the guy awoke from his sleep in the upper balcony, came down and open the door, I asked him if he was asleep and has forgotten my check in. He said if I came here with an attitude, I am not welcome at his place. First off, I had a booking, he knew I was coming. HE IS RUDE! PURE RUDE! STAY AWAY dont bother booking here!!! The place from the outside is tumble down I WENT DOWN THE STREET MUCH BETTER STAY!

I had a fantastic time in ivory tower hostel, a lovely place ran by an eccentric and caring man. Ivory tower is not some copy paste soulless burocratic hostel, but one dripping with personality and humanity. I recommend this hostel to people who love connection with others and a homely feel. The location is also super!!

The hostel was overbooked but the host was able to accommodate me and my partner. The beds we received were uncomfortable convertible couch beds. We did not have a door and had to sleep with the curtains closed. The beds were FILLED with bed bugs. We found a new place to stay, but the host was able to give us a real room after. We checked the new beds and they also had bed bugs!! The showers were dirty. The host originally seemed nice but when I talked to him one on one he was off putting. 👎�...

I had a fantastic stay at Ivory Tower Hostel! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready with local tips and directions. The location is perfect—right in the heart of Sofia, close to historical sites, cafes, and public transport. The common area has a great vibe for meeting fellow travelers, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. I especially appreciated the personal touch and welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommended for solo travelers and backpackers alike!
