Karibbik Haus Hostel

Ich kann das Hostel wärmstens empfehlen. Die Mitarbeitende sind sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Sie nehmen sich Zeit für einen. Ich habe mich im Hostel wie zu Hause gefühlt, es entstand auch ein Gefühl von einer Wohngemeinschaft. Ich hatte in der ersten Nacht sehr kalt beim Schlafen (ja wirklich 😁) und sie haben mir kostenlos eine Wolldecke ausgeliehen.

Das Hostel ist einfach, aber entspannt und sauber. Der Schwamm sollte jedoch dringend ersetzt werden. Das Personal ist (eigentlich) sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, nimmt die Regel bezüglich externer Personen jedoch sehr streng. Mein Tauchlehrer durfte tagsüber nicht kurz mit hinein kommen um mir beim Padi-App helfen, obwohl ich erklärt habe, wer er ist. Wir mussten draussen vor der Tür bleiben, was ich als unhöflich empfand. Ansonsten hat aber alles gepasst.

Not a lot going on at this hostel, it’s quite quiet and more could be done to make it a bit more social. It’s quite far from the beach and center, so you need to walk a bit. Only one shower works, and most of the doors to showers/toilets/rooms are semi broken. Could do with a bit of TLC. It is very hot and humid on the island, so not being able to control the AC in the room is annoying, they only turn it on for a brief period overnight. Also no control over the lights in the kitchen

Very sweet and homey hostel in San Andres. Pretty quiet when i was there but the people staying at the same time were social. Bed was comfy. Common areas nice. Bit of a walk from the main part of town/main beach but nothing too major.

Everything was great! I would especially like to mention the hostel owner, who was always very friendly, always available and helped with many things.

You will find better accommodations for lower prices. Mixed dorms have showers with no doors making it impossible for girls to feel comfortable. Service is very amateur still, only the owner has any knowledge and he leaves the business to some women to help him watch it, but they don’t know how to help. I’d go somewhere else, but not terrible if it’s your only option!

Ótimo hostel. Fica a uns 15 minutos andando do centrinho de San Andres. Acomodações confortáveis e limpas, não tem chuveiro quente como a maioria dos hostels na ilha, fiquei em um quarto privativo e foi muito bom, a cama era enorme. O Mauro, responsável pelo hostel é um amor de pessoa, me ajudou com alguns passeios, dicas e até agendou alguns transportes para mim durante minha estadia. Único ponto é que não é um hostel muito sociável.

besonders erwähnenswert sind die großräumigen Hygieneangebote (Dusche, WC etc). man hat deutlich mehr Platz als in anderen Hostels.

This is a no-frills hostel for travelers who are looking for a more authentic San Andres experience. The owner and her husband are very kind, welcoming, and full of local recommendations. The hostel is one block away from the bus stop that takes you to the less crowded beaches further south. Amplifying this tip (also stated in the “House Rules” section): Although the hostel is a 10-15 walk from the airport, be sure to take a taxi instead (23k COP at time of writing).

I felt at home. Very nice hostel which is very lovingly run by the two owners. Rooms and sanitary facilities are very clean. In addition, a scooter and buggy rental is offered directly from the hostel. On the upper floor there is plenty of space to socialise. I would always happily come back here :)

Me sentí como en casa! El hostel era muy cómodo, limpio y bien ubicado. La cocina tiene todo lo que necesitas. Además, Mauricio de la recepción es un amor. Me ayudó con mi compu (el teclado no funcionaba) y me presté el suyo porque tuve que trabajar. Volvería cuando esté otra vez en San Andrés!

very nice people running the hostel; kind and accommodating! my daughter and I got sick and felt very supported and cared for. Everyone was kind, we felt very safe and given lots of help including assistance getting anti nausea meds. The property was very clean too. our room was a bit run down, especially the bathroom with the barely trickling water from the shower. The main area was nice and spacious with TV, kitchen etc and the balcony area was ideal for eating and a place to dry clothes.

Great stay! We had a lovely week in the hostel, filled with many adventures. The hostel was very calm and not too crowded, exactly what we needed. Staff was extremely generous and helpful, especially Mauro, who organises countless trips for us. I can highly recommend this hostel, the rooms were tidy and amenities great!

muy recomendable! el dueño y personal super, tube un pequeño problema y el dueño inmediatamente lo atendio y resolvio . limpieza y el orden excelente. la tienda de alimentacion de la esquina super tuvieron yn detalle super .

This this little retreat was exactly what I needed. The staff were so incredibly friendly and helpful with anything I needed, helping me plan my stay and even driving me to the airport when I needed to depart. So clean so comfortable and great location. Far away from the busy city center but close enough to walk. Also right next to a gym which was a bonus for me. The owners of the gym also lovely and super affordable. Recommend 10000%
