The place is a dump. Somebody needs to steam clean the whole place. The beds are terrible. The staff is apathetic .
it wasn’t my first time staying at Santa Fe International Hostel — I’ve stayed there several times. It’s a good hostel with very reasonable prices; I think it’s the cheapest in Santa Fe. The staff were very kind to us and even allowed us to check in early, before the official check-in time.
Justin was particularly helpful and went out of his way to make sure I was able to check in after my airplane was late . The other staff were also nice and the place is clean . Good kitchen space.
Good place for all the people that wanna save money on their trip. Really cool vibe with the staff, and some great things to do in the city :)
Quite a bad experience. I understand that doing chores is meant to foster a sense of community. It doesn't. It left me with a feeling of having been duped. I hate that they lock up the kitchen and common areas between 9.30pm and 8.00am. The place feels like a spike.
L'accueil est sympathique et l'endroit bien situé. Un petit jardin intérieur pour boire un thé et se reposer.
Real value for money.
Wonderful staff and great principles. Hidden gem that is close to transit lines.
Really excellent place. The staff and the guests were -wonderful- and everything was perfect for my minimal needs and for the excellent price.
The staff were very friendly and we loved the atmosphere! The Location was great too ( 8 minutes to Meow wolf and 8 minutes to Downtown. As far as security there was not a front desk person there overnight and the dorm did not have lockers there were however small lockers in the courtyard. We loved the kitchen and thought it was one of the highlights of the hostel! As far as cleanliness we did not have an issues but because of the chore system cleanliness depends on how well chores were done.
This place puts the home back in homey. The common area is filled with books and a piano and table to enjoy your coffee and meals. The 6 bed dorm is a bit tired and could use a few upgrades in terms of mattresses and bedding. The key feature of this hostel is its large kitchen and ability to (if so desired) to make a fine meal. They have a large communal pantry filled with all types of fruits and vegetables and dry goods available for use. Nice people run this place. I would stay again.
Everything is nice here, great staff and nice people in the hostel
The staff and value were incredible.
Only downside was not staying longer! Close proximity to the road runner station, 2 bus into town and the bus to Taos. Great energy and the kitchen had plenty stocked.
Wonderful hostel. Back to the good old days of doing chores and no TV's blaring out. Plus free food.
Its a great atmosphere people are very kind and friendly. its a nice thing to stay at a hostel. This place is cash only
Excellent!!!!! Very nice kitchen. The staff were friendly and helpful. Whole Foods donates food to hostel. They offer food free of charge to guests that they can prepare for themselves in kitchen. I was pleasantly surprised I hope to visit again
It's a nice property, it's old but everything was clean and the location is great
The property advert is misleading because it suggests a relaxing place for hikers/bikers and travellers a like to seek refuge. However, despite the place being overrun with “staff”, guests are expected to do daily chores, including tasks like cleaning toilets and taking out kitchen bins, which are full of bin juice. We appreciate there is always a need for camaraderie in a hostel, i.e. cleaning up after yourself in the kitchen and not leaving a mess in shared spaces. However the expectation ...
Wonderful hostel, wonderful people!
