Overall a really good deal, bit far from the centre, but in a safe area. Accomodation is rather basic but has everything you need, included hot shower.
Nice budget stay for either side of the Quilotoa trek. Comfy beds, hot showers, adequate cooking facilities, helpful staff and good vibes. Could use some soap in the bathrooms, and a lamp (or another lighting option) in the room would be a bonus.
I enjoyed my stay at adventure climbers. It is a bit outside of the city but a good place. They also had big lockers to leave your stuff in before hiking the Quilatoa Loop. The grocery store and a few restaurants are nearby. Overall a great stay.
Owner was super sweet. Laundry service was very fast. Kitchen was big but not very clean. Overall a nice stay for the price.
Nice enough hostel, comfy beds, sketchy area - as a solo traveller, I didn't feel so safe walking about at night which is a frost for me in Ecuador. Staff were super super helpful helping me book an Amazon tour while I was on Quilotoa loop without signal! Even helped me sort my bus tickets. Thanks so much Eduardo!
Hostel bem simples, estrutura antiga, tudo parece velho.
Great hostel with friendly and knowledgeable staff on any and all activities of the area. They have a great common area, and awesome rooftop with 360 degree views of all of the mountains of the area. If you are planning to head into the mountains for hiking or climbing, you can rent any needed gear for cheap and you can also leave extra luggage in their storage area for even cheaper!
Not the best place for socializing, but the private rooms were big and spacious. Tasty but tiny breakfast, not worth paying for
+ Billardtisch
Very nice staff, but you can tell $5 is what you get for acoomodation. Super disgusting in every regard-- the bathroom, bed, walls... kitchen and supplies was also very disturbingly unclean. On the other hand, staff did my laundry cheap and well.
Actually stayed here twice, as I returned for the night after completing the Quilotoa Trek. Got onto an excellent tour of Cotopaxi through the hostel. Excellent value and since I was traveling solo I "lucked out" and had a double room with no one else in it for $5 a night. Great kitchen space and electric cooker (no matches or lighters!) and a wonderful staff who will store excess baggage for a VERY small fee when you do Quilotoa. Best hot shower!
