A tropical dreamland with family vibes!
Was a very nice hostel with good vibes. The place would benefit from another shower and toilet as there’s only two of each in the whole hostel. Lovely pool and lots of hammocks to chill in. El Zonte is definitely a quieter place than El Tunco if you are looking for that!
I had an okay stay here, but it wasn't good value for money. For many hostels of this price, you get good beds, privacy and activities. The pool area outside is nice but 1 dorm is open to the reception and 1 door didnt close. 1 toilet and 2 showers for the whole hostel to use. When we arrived there wasnt anyone at reception and so we didn't get a tour/any info. There was a mix up with beds which was resolved but along with the tired facilities and the lack of information I wasn't very impressed...
Nice Hostel in El Zonte with great pool and nice seating areas. We stayed in a 4-bed dorm and there was only one small fan that didn’t really reach all the beds so it was really hot in the room. The mosquito nets had holes and the matresses where too thin. The kitchen and bathroom where really cluttered with stuff probably from guests who left already, which made it a bit annoying to cook. Because genereally the kitchen is great and has many appliances!
lovely spot, super chill, friendly people, lots of places to relax. super hot though. prob would have splurged the few extra bucks for the AC room if i did it again.
Beautiful hostel and easy same-day booking through Hostelworld. However, when we arrived around 9:45 p.m., we had to wait about 30 minutes to reach someone for check-in, only to be told they had no bed available despite our confirmed reservation. We were very disappointed, especially being left without accommodation late at night and with no help finding another place to stay. They did reimburse our deposit in cash, which we appreciated, but overall it was a stressful experience.
Es war leider nicht sauber . Das Bad und die Küche waren ser dreckig der rest okeih. Der Vibe war nice . Eher teuer für das was man bekommt .
Casa de Colores is amazing. The atmosphere felt like I was in a little family and people were generally really open and friendly. Loved my stay and would always come back
We(group of 4 guys) were supposed to have a mixed bedroom, but there was an error with the booking. Instead of refusing us access and letting us on the street, the owner Julio(super nice and inspiring guy btw) gave me and my 3 friends the nicest suite in the whole hostel(a penthouse/ elevated private suite overlooking the pool and the hostel) for the same price as the mixed bedroom without hesitation when we arrived. Couldn’t recommend this place more.
The worst hostel in El Salvador. I booked three nights. On the first night, they didn’t even have a bed for me and sent me to a “partner” accommodation where I had to pay more. The next day I finally had a bed, but the mattress was maybe 5 cm thick. I could feel the wooden bed frame while lying down. Bathroom: two showers, both cold, and two toilets for everyone. Kitchen: the sponges were worn down to less than 1cm. Guest Are drunk or drugged, at night it’s cold and loud. Do Not stay here...
De eigenaren zijn ontzettend gastvrij en vriendelijk. Super locatie. Veel hangmatten en een heerlijk zwembad. Ga er zeker heen op woensdag voor taco avond.
This place is not luxury but it is nothing short of one of the best hostels I have ever stayed at in my life. The atmosphere, the owner, the family feeling, the staff, the pool, the location… can’t be beat
It’s an amazing location. Lots of space to chill and relax. Hammocks and a pool are all a bonus. The owner was really kind and the beach is a 2 minute walk away with restaurants and bars.
Great spot! It’s clean, the staff is very kind and overall great atmosphere. I also like that it’s locally owned :) Thank you
A super friendly and welcoming place. Respectfully quiet after 10 pm and very active and fun before that. Great pool and temperature and super clean.
It’s a beautiful, clean place with a great pool and lots of spots to relax. Everything is pretty basic, but very clean. There are no bunk beds — just single beds next to each other with mosquito nets, which was awesome. It’s a short walk to the beach. I felt safe and comfortable the whole time!
Sehr schöne, familiäre Atmosphäre, gute Ausstattung, hilfsbereite Menschen
Colours is the perfect place for a peaceful retreat. The pace is quite different from El Tunco. El Zonte is a very quiet town, with a few shops and cafes. Colours had a fantastic kitchen, and really kind owners who were brilliant at giving us recommendations and helping us with any questions. We booked a private room which was super spacious, with a bathroom and fan. I highly recommend this cosy hostel for a peaceful night away.
Really enjoyed it here. Really nice spaces to chill, hammocks, good vibes. Outdoor shower. Very short walk to the beach. Kitchen is good. Would definitely return to stay here again.
Outside fan dorm pretty shocking considering this is most expensive hostel I’d stayed at in Central America. Windows are just open so mosquitoes enter freely. Just 1 fan and 1 plug socket in 4 bed dorm. Door doesn’t close unless you lock from inside or outside. 1 morning I accidentally was locked in there by room mate so couldn’t leave for hours. Was checked in by nice volunteer but otherwise staff were absent? Nice sitting area inside and around pool but otherwise very over priced.
