Sunbloom Hostel

We booked a very nice room for 1 night in Kandy. The owner is super kind and helpfull. I would definitely recommend.

Notre séjour s’est parfaitement passé ! L’hôte était très accueillant et nous a recommandé plusieurs endroits à visiter. Vous pouvez y aller sans problème, la chambre est très bien également. Merci beaucoup pour ce beau séjour :)

The Guy from the Hostel was really. The bathroom not really clean though... and NO AC. which is ok, when its not that warm, but it was when we there, and it was not great. also the way from the city center is always up the Mountain

The host was really nice and always ready to help with anything. The breakfast he made us was also delicious. Unfortunately it got quite hot in the rooms since there was no AC and it was moldy, especially in the bathroom.

Great place! Some times water sometimes not but overall recommend

Wir waren in einem privaten Zimmer. Das ganze Zimmer war schimmelig und eine Klimaanlage gab es auch nicht, wodurch es viel zu warm wurde.

Heel fijn hostel. Ik ben hier 2 nachten verbleven en was ontzettend gezellig. De sfeer is heel fijn. Het hostel ligt wel een klein beetje buiten het centrum, maar daar heb je een prachtig uitzicht voor terug. Dus zeker de moeite waard. Het is je geld zeker waard! De host is ook bereid om je tips te geven over je reis.

The gentleman who run the hostel couldn’t have been kinder, making us a healthy breakfast every morning and engaging in conversation regarding our day offering suggestions. He even extended our stay with barely any notice as we decided we wanted to stay another night! Plenty of spotting of monkeys around whilst we watched on the balcony!! We didn’t meet any other people there, so it wasn’t sociable other than him. Thank you :) *no bins in toilet or wifi provided - we didn’t ask though.*

very cute homestay in beautiful jungel-area. the house is located about 6km outside of sigiriya. it can easily be reched by a tuktuk drive. the room is in the middle of the familys beautiful garden and gibes you real jungle vibes. the owner was alway reachable and extremly friendly and helped us with booking tours and getting around in the area- was very helpful. basic breakfast and lunch/dinner are served if you'd like. can be enjoyed in the spacious, beautiful garden area. clean a/c rooms.

Nice place, the owner made sure that I’m not leaving hungry even though I had like ten minutes.

Likeable host, uncomplicated check-in and a cool location not too far off the city. We stayed in the private room which is nicely furnished and has a balcony with a cool view! The bathroom was a little unclean.. but we talked to him about that and he took the feedback very serious and thankful :)

The hostel was ok, we stayed there for two nights. The host was nice but he came into our room very often for example the first morning he came in at 7 am for us to pay the night. There was no privacy. There were almost no other people to connect with. The host told us that the girl who was in our room did not pay but we actually saw her paying so maybe it is a good idea to get a bill when you pay. The balkony has a nice view and one morning we have been woken up by monkeys.

My friend and I had an amazing time here. Our host Yohan was super hospitable and friendly guy. He made us some delicious breakfasts and even took us to watch a rugby game at his rugby club between trinity college and royal college. An experience we will never forget! We had so much fun hanging out with you yohan. All the best, and we hope to see you again. Would recommend to any traveler seeking a local experience, to meet some fantastic Sri Lankan people!

The host was nice but he wasn’t there a lot. The beds are nice and comfortable but the shower is kinda dirty. The breakfast is nice.

Hostel ist zu Fuss 20min vom Zentrum entfernt. Habe den Spaziergang sehr genossen. Die Terasse welche vom Zimmer aus zugänglich ist hat eine super Aussicht und konnte dort mein Morgenworkout machen. Frühstück ist einfach aber gut und das Hotelpersonal super freundlich. Habe gute Tipps erhalten.

Mixed experience at hostel. Dorms as big as in pics. Tiny bathroom had ants, no bin (hassle on period). Noisy from snoring, phone notifications. Receptionist slept in dorms. Mosquitos bothered me. Bed was comfy, breakfast good. Spoke to owners, they were nice. As a solo woman traveler, wouldn't return - not ideal for solo stay.
