Little Malang Hostel

Cute & cozy hostel. Very clean. Staff are so nice and helpful, took the time to learn everyone’s name :) Good location & good wifi

Lovely host. Great location - easy walk into main tourist attractions. Facilities were great and can do laundry. They give nice recommendations for food and activities to do!

A lovely gem of a hostel, comfortable beds and a kind and thoughtful owner. Would definitely recommend.

It has everything you need for a short stay in Malang including washing machine, drinking water, roof terrace, hot shower and air conditioning. I was the only guest. The Malang side of Bromo is not the best side to see the inner Bromo crater but you can rent a scooter to use on the paved road to the outer rim and to Ranu Pane for Senaru which is closed to climbing in April 2026. You can check out waterfalls and temples around the region with motorbike. Batu has some alternative volcano hikes.

Heerlijk hostel. Erg gastvrije host, behulpzaam en lief. Brandschoon, goede matras/ bedden, wasmachine ter beschikking voor kleine prijs en ontbijt inbegrepen.

Gabriel was very nice and helpful. The hostel itself was nice, the facilities were good, Gabriel could arrange a lot of activities for you. I would recommend this to everyone

This was such an amazing hostel! Stay here! The staff was so sweet and helped me book my travel accommodations, she drove me to the ATM and figured everything out for me, they had snacks, every facility and item you could need, and they even gave me chocolates for Valentine’s Day! Such a great place for solo travelers and very comfortable rooms with lockers

ABSOLUTELY amazing to Be here! I usually never post reviews, but had to this time. Best hostel we’ve ever been to and for such a good Price. The host is soo sweet and Will help you with anything you need, 11/10. We also did the 2d1n bromo+ijen tour. Would rate that tour 4/5.

100% recommend! I was poorly with food poisoning during my stay and the host cooked me some food from her home to make me feel better. She was so kind and helpful. The beds are comfy and showers are warm. Brilliant host and brilliant hostel!

perfect place all round. Beds are comfortable, and showers are warm. The host went out of her way to help usus get thethe train on time, and gave us great recommendations on where to go in the waterfalls.

I had a great stay here, good location to see malang, super helpful staff in organising trips and helped me plan my transfer to my next island. Everything you need from a hostel to have a amazing time exploring malang and the surrou ding area 🙂🙂🙂

Amazing extremely helpfull staff. If you book anything via them they will make sure to check in on you if everything runs smoothly, even if you already checked out. If you book the bromo ijen tour they even offer you to chill there for the day/semi night and use the facilities without necessarily having a booking for a bed there. Furthermore everything was very clean and all the facilities were on point.

We had a lovely time at Little Malang Hostel! You will be taken care of so well by the sisters who are running the place. They’re so kind and helpful and full of knowledge about Indonesia. Easy to organize tours to Bromo, Ijen & Co. The hostel is super clean and we felt very comfortable there.

Absolutely incredible hostel. WiFi speed the best we’ve had in any hostel we’ve stayed in. The service is so helpful and the package tours are incredible . The vibe is so homey with the kitchen downstairs and the rooms and bathroom are so clean. 10/10.

Wir sind nach Malang gekommen um die Touren in der Umgebung zu machen. Die Schwestern die dieses Hostel betreiben sind wirklich mit dem Herzen dabei. Es ist sehr sauber und süß eingerichtet. Zudem haben sie mir jeden Tag glutenfreies Frühstück, sowie Snacks zu unseren Ausflügen angeboten. Sie haben uns geholfen die Ausflüge zu buchen und auch unsere Überfahrt nach Bali organisiert. Wir waren allerdings während der Regenzeit dort und somit kurzzeitig die einzigen im Hostel.

Everything was amazing ! It’s the first time a saw a hostel clean like that ! I felt like home. It’s own by two sisters. Both are lovely. When we need something we just need to send a message and they just answer in 2 seconds ! Everything is super organized. When you arrived she send you a list of places to see. The hostel has a good location.

This was such a wonderful stay for many reasons. Number one are the owners Gabrielle and Diana. They were so kind and helpful going above and beyond for me. They have successfully taken all the good parts of hostels and combined them into one amazing place to stay. I booked my trip to Bromo and Ijen through the hostel and Gabrielle kept in touch throughout to make sure everything was okay (which it was). The location is good, beds comfy and WiFi fast. It’s really worth staying here.
