Das Zelt ist super eng und voller Armeisen
This is a party hostel!!! Expect to be woken up at any hour of the evening,, unless you stay up all night of course(: The glitter in the ocean was a huge turn off for me, but asides from that it’s in a great location, having beach and ocean access was such a luxury. Clean accommodation and bathrooms, and friendly (enough) staff.
The location and beach club itself was really nice, we had bugs in our bed but the staff were quick to fix it for us. The laundry service was good as it’s all done for you, but it was quite pricey. The bungalow was worth what you paid, keeping in mind, it is camping. Bus stop is just out the front for the port and the main city of Ios. The music by the pool gets quite loud after midday so not the easiest for relaxing by the pool if that’s what you came to do. Overall a pleasant stay.
We stayed in the camping huts so that's what you're paying for. This isn't a hostel - it's a beach club that's open to the public that has some 'glamping' and accommodation options attached. The beach club itself is pretty nice and puts on some fun events. Music stops at 11pm so you won't be kept up all night. The beach right out the front is stunning, the best bit. You still have to pay for the sun beds though. It's out of town but busses run up to the town (5 min trip) and come every 10 min...
Good value for money and good common facilities
Great if you come with a group, but not social at all. Bad common areas to meet with people- on the plus side the atmosphere was quite good with many people at night. Just beware that this is not a place for any solo traveller
heaps of fun, only pursue if you’re wanting to party and never sleep.
Exactly what you except - you’re camping! I love staying at far out - for what you pay you’ve got the beach right on your doorstep and the day pool bar which is just so lush!! Camping is a bit of a laugh but part of the experience. Would recommend doing it with a friend but not by yourself.
We got upgraded from a tent to a private room with ensuite! Rooms were lovely and clean, has ac too. Pool/ beach facility’s are amazing. Great vibe
Tents fly screen was broken and had mozzies buzzing around all night. Did not get linen and fan didn’t work. Mind you for €10 a night it was bearable.
This place was the absolute highlight of our 3 month europe trip. met some of the greatest people and had the best time. pretty much everyone is either aussie or irish. biggest night out we had was on a monday which goes to show the party lasts all week. we stayed in the tents which honestly weren’t too bad. it got a bit hot during the day and there wasn’t much space but it’s all you need. we actually loved it. definitely got our moneys worth. and the walk back from the clubs isn’t even ...
You get what you pay for. Beware, you’re sleeping in a very hot and dirty tent. However, just spend the whole day on the beach and you won’t have to deal with the tent. The showers and toilets stunk but they were cleaned fairly regularly. The facilities at Far Out are amazing. They have a mini mart, atm’s, tattoo parlour, swimming pool, sun beds and restaurants. The pro’s definitely out weigh the con’s for this accommodation. I recommend just spending a bit extra for the nicer cabins r...
We stayed in the tents, they’re good in that it was super cheap. During the day however it got really hot, I’d definitely only stay here for 2 nights maximum
The shack is terrible. Way to hot and no space.
only go if you like to party. fun. bad wifi
Ok so just know what you want and what your paying and 100% worth it. You stay in a legit dog kennel but if u do it right u only sleeping there for a few hours. You get access to FarOut pool resort area during the day so can lounge there for the day and go out most of night. It’s not inherently social for solo but if u put yourself out there u can meet people.
Far out camping is a really cool hostel, they have a pool bar and a DJ everyday going so it’s always a party. The facilities are nice, there’s food you can buy there and a mini mart plus other shops and amenities. I went during the beginning of July for my 26th birthday, I would recommend that travellers be aware that during that time period is Irish schoolies and lots of young adults come to party during this time. While I still had fun out at the clubs, there was a strong schoolies vibe. I...
Very budget accommodation, you get what you pay, but the atmosphere is what makes it so good !! Quite a hike away from the clubs so if you are coming home late (after 12am) you’ll have to walk about 40 mins as there are very few taxis on the island. But would 100% go back again!
I LOVED Far Out, but don’t stay in the tents, they’re horrendous. There are bugs everywhere, it gets insanely hot, it’s small, it’s a dog shelter honestly. The property itself I would give a 10/10 for the location, free sun beds, etc. Stay and book a room, not the tents
