Hostel Puerto Viejo

À première vue, cet hostel semble agréable, l’extérieur et les employées sont sympathiques. Mais cela s’arrête là. Lorsque l’on prend une douche, on se croirait en prison, une simple cellule. Absolument rien pour poser ses affaires, accrocher sa serviette, poser son gel douche… La chambre est très sale, les lits sont envahis de je ne sais quoi, sur le matelas et sur les draps…ce n’est absolument pas rassurant ! Le séjour a heureusement été de très courte durée.

Hostel 100% recomendado, personal majisimo, te recomiendan planes para hacer en la zona, personal de limpieza muy atento, todo muy limpio e instalaciones muy buenas. Además organizan actividades allí también.

A nice hostel, very central. Everything is within walking distance. I had an extra room; the bed was fresh and clean. The rest of the room wasn’t; the floor was very dirty. The toilets and washrooms need renovating to a higher standard; some areas are very run-down.

This hostel is fine but the dorm rooms are pretty basic (bed and pillows not very comfortable and the walls are slatted wood and mesh so you can hear everything outside). There is a large communal space but i didn’t find it very sociable and there aren’t any planned events or ways to meet people. It is in the centre of town which is good for some people, but also means you hear the noise from bars until 3am

Really nice view. The rooms and bathrooms are quite rustic but the view is really worth it

El Hostel está ubicado estratégicamente. Son solidarios , serviciales y se genera una atmósfera de camaradería. Rotundamente volvería y se lo recomendaré a mis gijos

Sehr schöne Unterkunft mit super Lage und gutem Preisleidtungsverhältnis. Gibt eine große Küche, gut Ausgestattet.

The kitchen is supreme! Some of the staff was a bit rude 🥴 but the majority are really helpful and kind!

Très bien, l’emplacement est génial on était proche de tout, seul les horaires de la cuisine nous ont posés problème car elle ouvre qu’à 7h30..

Absolutely loved my time here! Would 100% recommend and will come back.

L’auberge de jeunesse est située dans le centre de Puerto Viejo, à quelques pas des animations et des plages. Les espaces communs sont spacieux et agréables et les chambres fonctionnelles. La cuisine est très grande et fonctionnelle également. Néanmoins, il n’y avait pas d’eau chaude à l’étage comme cela avait pourtant été indiqué. Point positif pour le personnel !

the hostel seemed too good for the price at first. then we found insects all over our beds. it was disgusting! the staff wasn’t helpful and gave an attitude.

Super lovely hostel with great staff. So welcoming! Good vibes all around. Private room was nice (although people stand outside during the night/morning and the curtains are sheer, so it’s a bit revealing). Room was clean apart from pollen coming from the windows, as they’re mesh, not glass. Good showers, nice common areas. A shame that the staff don’t really run the bar.

Great value for money, excellent location, comfy beds, great kitchen for cooking and nice communal areas to chill. Would highly recommend. Could be a little bit more social in regards to organised events each night

I like the vibe. Staff were great, helpful and approachable. Room was a little disappointing for the price. Holes in the netting, rotting wood.. I’ve paid less for better.

Noisy & dirty. Our room had mesh windows. There were party's at the hostel Thursday and Friday and it sounded like we had our own private band playing in our bedroom till 11pm. then the noise of other bars and drunk people and dogs barking goes on till about 2/3am then the dogs start barking again at 6am. The mesh on the windows was filthy and the wood all rotton. The bins in the toilets were overflowing.

Huge property with an excellent location and big kitchen. Lots of cute dogs. There’s a lot of long term residents it seems, which makes for a bit of a weird atmosphere.

Beautiful place, great location, amazing staff. PRO: water filter, many bathrooms, great common areas, good price CONS: some beds had no power outlets, sometimes it was a bit noisy. Would 100% stay there again

Booked 4 nights only ended up staying 1 because of bed bugs. If you stay in room 53 good luck. Fridges overloaded with food and many long term people staying there which creates a weird atmosphere
