Really liked the hostel. A good breakfast is included at the very nice rooftop, rooms are good, drinking water, tea and coffee for free and the staff is really nice, helpful and accommodating.

Castle Cairo was fantastic. We came for 10 days to Egypt and Kholod worked with us to develop a schedule for the 10 days to get in as much as possible. She was amazing. I was traveling with 5 kids ages 9-19 and the staff treated us like gold. Kholod arranged drivers and guides for all over Egypt and when we came off the overnight buses, they gave us rooms to use to relax in and shower before our next adventure, even though we were not spending the night there. Highly recommended.

The woman in the reception was really kind, everything was clean but the night auditor when I brought a friend to chill out in the terrace when she went to my room just for her “toilet” needs he started knocking the door and screaming come out I’m gonna call the police. For what? Can’t a male and female be friends or it’s illegal? Anyway maybe it’s something cultural that I don’t understand. After that I just left the room, didn’t even sleep a night!

Great experience at this hostel. The people working there were so helpful,especially. I really felt in a safe spot in the chaos of Cairo. The terrace was really nice and the breakfast was delicious. Great price too.

Pour des aventuriers, l'hôtel est tout à fait adapté. Il y a de l'eau, du café et du thé à volonté. Le petit-déjeuner vous est servi le matin. Le personnel est extrêmement charmant et serviable. L'eau de la douche est néanmoins chaude. Mais le soir, une petite brise sur le rooftop est agréable à ressentir. Il est possible de laisser vos bagages après le checkout sans supplément. L'auberge est située au 7e étage avec ascenseur et dans un quartier où vous trouverez des restaurants...

Close to Tahrir square and offers lots of tours and day trips at a reasonable price. The staff are knowledgeable and the rooftop is fantastic! Only complaint is that there aren’t many restaurants too close by

Amo éste hostel,limpio,habitaciones amplias con camas grandes,los trabajadores un 10!!y lo mejor es la terraza,es perfecta para conocer a mucha gente y poder hacer planes juntos!!!

Die jungen Personale sind Mega cool und alle sind ruhig geblieben trotz verschiedenen Gäste Diversen Fragen haben. Ihre Freundliche Art und Lachen an jede Begegnung. 24 Stunden ist offen und immer jemanden an der Rezeption.

Good hostel for the price. Staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. I was constantly asking them from information on local places to go. The breakfast was cooked by a sweet Muslim woman who will warm your heart. I’d definitely stay again.

Warm, welcoming and friendly staff, decent ensuite room, decent breakfast. Great rooftop terrace. Good location. The downside to my stay was that my room was next to the reception desk. It was difficult to get a good night sleep. The walls are so thin that you could hear every single conversation that went on outside. Eg: guests checking in, in the middle of the night, staff chatting etc. I guess if I had a couple of ear plugs, it might have helped.

Centrally located in downtown Cairo and easily accessible from airports and bus stations Castle Cairo is located at the top of a building with elevator. I was welcomed with a warm karkade for my tour upon check in and given a water bottle to refill at the filter water station. Room was small and cozy and wasn't loud even though adjacent to lobby. Staff were super helpful and friendly. Rooftop was nice to chill and enjoy breakfast. Breakfast was included and a really nice spread.

we stayed here for 3 nights (2 at the start of our trip to Egypt and 1 at the end). the staff were really helpful the whole time and let us hang out on the roof terrace before our train out the first time and our flight out the second time. the location is a bit meh, but I'm not sure anywhere in Cairo is actually good so probably can't judge it on that. there's a tiny kitchen where you can make food. the breakfasts in the morning were the best part of the stay. the water fountain is useful too

Extremely friendly, kind and hospitable staff. They let me chill on the lovely rooftop and served me breakfast even though i arrived well before the check in time. Just a lovely experience all round. Highly recommend this place.

We spent two nights here, loved the staff, they were so sweet and accomodating! The rooftop was the perfect laidback space to do some work or to meet the other guests. The shabby but nice view was also a +. Also the hostel felt clean, especially our rooms were 10/10 :) Will deffo come back! Thank you Khulud and Amira!

Nice place! Great if you travel with a friend/ partner or in my case my sister. Rooms are pretty nice with a really well working aircon (important in Egypt!!). Very fair prices. Views are cool, especially from the rooftop. Breakfast kinda sucks (no fruit), but it gets you through the morning haha staff was nice. Location is great. Little to no backpackers atmosphere when we were there. More friendly low budget hotel vibes, than hostel views:)

The Castle hotel was amazing! Before I even arrived, I received a wonderful email offering airport pick up and attractions I could book. Once I arrived at 9am, they let me check in early and offered me free coffee and water before my trip began. Absolutely wonderful place, the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful and it’s just a wonderful vibe overall. No better place to stay in Cairo as a solo traveler ❤️
