Kiez Hostel

I honestly do not really understand the bad reviews. The owner send me all the details on how to get inside the building etc. The room was clean (it was a bit hot though, heating couldnt be turned off, but I just opened the windows). Its close to the metro, so super handy. I didnt see or speak with the owner in person but thats also not something I felt needed to happen. Overall great experience!

Fiquei receosa no início por alguns comentários que li porém não tenho o que falar. O anfitrião foi atencioso, o local estava limpo e não tivemos problemas com barulho apesar de ser um bar embaixo.e hospedei em dia de semana talvez o barulhos só aconteça em datas específicas ou em final de semana, posteriormente alguém que se hospede nessas datas poderá avaliar. Really horrible bug situation, there was no actual check in, the beds were super bad, no soap, and generally horrible smell and vibe

This place was honestly brilliant. After reading the reviews me and my friend were quite nervous. The owner came out to meet us on the street to give us the code to the building, he was very friendly and accommodating with any requests we had. The room itself was clean, warm and comfortable, its location puts it close to metro stations and shops for groceries etc. overall we were very happy with our stay here and would definitely come back in future.

Mala experiencia. Llegamos el día de la reserva a las 14h y no había recepción ni nadie que nos atendiera. Estuvimos llamando y timbrando sin respuesta. Tras varios intentos, alguien nos escribió diciendo que no podía hablar por llamada y que la habitación no estaba lista. Volvimos a las 17h y tampoco contestaban. A las 18h nos dieron el código de entrada. No había papel, ni toallas y había cucarachas. Pagamos en efectivo y no nos dieron el cambio. No es seguro, no os fieis, no vayáis.

I had a nice stay here but we weren’t given the correct code or phone number prior to arrival so when I arrived at the hostel I had no way of entering, the owner didn’t pick up the phone for about 30 minutes so I was stood outside waiting for a little while. Nice flat, floor sticky

Haben vier Nächte dort verbracht, das Zimmer war einigermaßen sauber, alles wichtige (außer Mülleimer) vorhanden, Toilette war zwar dauerhaft kalt wegen offenem Fenster, aber sonst wirklich gute Lage und wenn man dort nur ist zum schlafen/fertigmachen ein wirklich gutes Hostel für den Preis!

Avoid Kiez Hostel. From 11 PM to 2:30 AM, the owner hosted a loud party below the rooms. When I asked him to lower the music for my early flight, he became hostile, told me threatened to play it louder to punish me. I had to involve the police. The room was terrible: no soap, one towel for two people, broken heating, and a heavy smoke smell. The owner was drunk and unprofessional. Save your money and stay somewhere safe where the staff doesn’t intentionally harass guests.

Lenzuola luride (con macchie e cimici), stanza senza cuscini, piumone e asciugamani, specchio rotto e letto pericolosamente instabile, carta igienica indecente.​ Il titolare, anziché rimediare, ha reagito urlando in modo intimidatorio e ordinandomi di lasciare la struttura! Nessun dialogo, solo minacce e un sarcastico "buonanotte". Un'esperienza violenta e disgustosa.​ Sulla base di altre recensioni, il comportamento aggressivo è una costante. STATE ALLA LARGA!

Besitzer extrem unfreundlich und nicht entgegenkommend. Zimmer bis um 16Uhr ohne Entschuldigung nicht beziehbar. Keine Rezeption vorgefunden oder Mitarbeiter bei der Anreise, auch niemand telefonisch erreichbar. Sauberkeit lässt zu wünschen übrig. Einrichtung vor allem im Bad sehr heruntergekommen. Kein Spiegel im Bad vorhanden. Pro Person gab es nur ein Handtuch, keine Seife oder Haartrockner vorhanden.

Encontramos de início um senhor mal encarado que praticamente entregou a chave e o código da porta sem acrescentar nada. Os corredores totalmente sujos; apenas 1 cama casal (contratei 2 de solteito); o lençol estava com aparência de usado, e apenas 1 travesseiro fedido; o banheiro sem toalhas, e com a lixeira cheia de papel higiênico usado. Como era tarde, tomamos banho e nos enxugado com nossas camisetas. No dia seguinte, pedimos e nos deram 2 toalhas e mais 1 cobertor. Mas não limpara...

They didn't respond to the email I sent days before about leaving my luggage before check-in. As a result, I arrived not knowing what to do with my luggage. Suddenly, the owner arrived yelling and insulting, saying he would only attend after check-in time. I understand that some places may not accept to keep luggage, but it would be important to give advance notice and, at the very least, be reasonable to respond to emails and politely decline the request.

Sehr enttäuschender Aufenthalt – nie wieder! Ich war für drei Nächte im Kiez Hostel Paris und war schon bei der Ankunft schockiert über den Zustand des Zimmers. Der Boden war dreckig, das Waschbecken voller Haare und die Matratze so verschmutzt, dass ich sie umdrehen musste, um überhaupt darauf schlafen zu können. Die Sauberkeit war insgesamt sehr schlecht. It was supposed to be a 24 hours check-in. I arrived at 2:30 am and found door closed, and no instructions. I called the owner in the afternoon to confirm I could arrive in the night. So I can't rate this hostel as I was left alone in the street in the middle of the night. After 45min of trying to reach out to someone, the door opened and the owner started to insult me. Please, run away.

This was such a great place to stay! I had some questions in my mind because there are a lot of bad reviews here, but I suspect a lot of those are from people who have never stayed in a hostel before and are suffering from some version of “Paris syndrome.” I thought this place was fantastic. Very bed experience, the place is very old and dirty and should be closed forever or until it have the right conditions to rent to the public. I rented a room for four nights and couldn’t stay in the room one night because of the bad cleaning and smell. And I am asking for my money back 😖

Nous avons trouvé des punaises de lit pendant le séjours. Le bar en bas fait énormément de bruit et nous as empéché de dormir. Très peu d'insonorisation également entre les différents logements. Aucune accomodation pour une arrivée une heure en avance.

Custo benefício vale a pena, tem quer levar em consideração que não tem recepção e que o funcionário é grosso e não prestativo, não tem onde deixar malas se chegar antes do check in ou se for ter voo depois do check out. Ele literalmente ignora a pessoa e demoram pra enviar por email o código para entrar no hostel, fiquei fora na chuva pois ninguém atendia o telefone. Fora todas essas inconveniências.
