Minerva Downtown Hostel

You really get what you pay for with this Hostel. The bathrooms are really dated and quite dirty, so are the rooms. The bedsheets did not seem clean. On a positive note, the staff was really nice and helpful and the location is not too bad either. If you are looking for an ultra low budget accommodation this might be for you, otherwise consider spending 2-3 euros more to get a different hostel

Bed bugs in the premises. I totally not recommended.

Emplacement génial et accueil très bien. Très brouillant mais il va de soit. La cuisine laisse à désirer donc j’ai opté pour manger à l’extérieur. Bonne adresse à partager vu l’emplacement et le prix

Not bad, but if you found better options for extra10 euros,don’t think about it Veeeery far away..there is no locks for lockers ,not clean,and the dor was broken,so we couldn’t close it in the night! I hadn’t use the card i have been given at all..

Minerva Hoste ist sehr praktisch gelegen. Das Personal sehr freundlich und sehr hilfsbereit. Ich fand die Zimmer sehr angenehm. Morgens habe ich auf das gute Frühstück gefreut.

I can not be more grateful with the staff at this hostel . The location is really good, the breakfast is delicious and thank you so much Adboz and Karim for been so helpful , they will help you with any question's you have. I know if I come back to Egipt I will come back here ❤️❤️

Abdoz is amazing reception at this hostel. He's very helpful and helped me plans my two week in Egypt. we talked for hours and absolutely enjoyed all our talks. Hostel is very clean with spacious bathroom and lockers.

Minerva hotel is located in the center and allows you to quickly reach all of Cairo's great attractions. the rooms are very comfortable, equipped with fridge and air conditioning. excellent cleanliness. the staff is incredible, very helpful and friendly, ready to help in any eventuality, for example the kind Karim, knowing that I don't know the Arabic language, accompanied me to the tailor and helped me explain, it was really nice to be able to meet such loving people . Highly recommended

It was an amazing stay ! We would like to thank the entire Minerva hostel team. In particular for their patience, the time dedicated to our requests and their permanent help. If you're looking for a welcoming, secure and located in a lively area, do not hesitate ! The hotel is not far from the Nile, the Egyptian Museum and other monuments. You will easily find something to eat around the hotel and the staff will not hesitate to advise you different addresses. Back to France with big memories...

Muy buena onda los anfitriones y abiertos a ayudar en todo, pero el lugar la verdad que muy sucio. Tuvimos que limpiar muchas cosas por nuestra cuenta y la cocina que tienen para compartir muy sucia.

i liked this hostel since the guys working there are so awsome, caring and very helpful in moments of need, instead i have to point the location since it’s in the city centre there are a lot of cars and noises. The rooms were clean and we also got an upgrade of our room since the one we ordered wasn’t available. Personally I am happy with choosing minerva downtown hostel. Last but not least I want to thank Karim, who was very helpful and without him we would have lost our tour to the pyramid...

I LOVED my stay at Minerva! My room was clean, huge, had a mini fridge, wasroom, and a cute little balcony. The staff were polite and courteous, especially Sobh, who was extrememly helpful and as i came alone, he was really great company at night after a long day of exploring it was nice to have someone to chill with and share stories. They also have plenty of day trips to choose from and drivers to get you to and from the airport at any time of night (my flight was at 5:20am) 10/10

Our host, Soph, was fantastic - made us feel welcome and looked after us, booking us reasonably priced airport travel. Breakfast and coffee amazing, and location incredible. If you're staying in Cairo, I highly recommend Minerva.

Perfect stay for our quick stop in Cairo. The front desk is always staffed with helpful, kind people. Everyone was very accommodating and gave us recommendations for where to eat, what to do, etc. Not a social atmosphere but we were a group of four so it worked well for us still. Rooms are nice, provide towels and have comfortable beds. The elevator and the stairwell leading up to the hotel are rundown but functional. Also, the kitchen looked pretty old and had a rusty stove.

Great place for a few days!

Didn’t have any lockers or much security but was quite cheap and in a good location
