Peaceful House Homestay

Dong Hoi was a tourist-free city and a great way to see Phong Nha, helped by this great homestay. Despite arriving at around 5am, the hostel staff helped me enter and sort out my belongings, and were very helpful throughout the stay. The property was tidy and clean, and close by to the sea and lots of places to eat. I would definitely recommend for a stay in Dong Hoi.

The stuff was kind, the room was really nice.Just the towels had some spots and i didn't like it, but i dont think they were dirty.

When we came there was no one, so we had to wait 15 minutes, that is okay. But it was a Young boy and his friend there came, and they laughed at us for 5 minutes before helping. He also tried to overcharge us for the room. The sheets where also dirty, and there was so cold in the room.

Living up to its name. Peaceful indeed. Very clean and fresh! Nice staff but don’t speak English at all.

Im Hostel beim Check-In war niemand, aber zum glück eine Nummer bei der Rezeption hinterlegt. Ich habe ihnen geschrieben und dann kam jemand dafür. Im Hostel war den ganzen Tag niemand, ich konnte meine Wäsche nicht waschen lassen und auch keine Tour buchen. Das Hostel war sonst gut, etwas weit weg von den Restaurants. Die Sauberkeit war mässig, es hatte im Bad noch Haare von den letzten.

I stayed at the hostel for one night in a private room and I really liked it. The room was clean and well equipped. There is just one thing that I have to criticise. On hostelworld it says that they would have 24/7 reception but when I arrived nobody opened the closed door even though I rang the bell several times. I also tryed to call the number that was written on the door but each time the answering machine picked up immediately. In the end I had to wait outside for two hours.

The hostel name says it- a very peaceful place to stay. If you like living calmly, around some very well behaved children, close to the beach, this is the place. We had a very nice room with a balcony and a big bathroom. Fun trip to the Dark Cave and Phong Nha (approx $64 pp). Very quiet surroundings. Staff are very friendly.

Nice homestay, beds are a little hard, but overall good facilities

I truly enjoyed my stay here! Peaceful House Homestay is centrally located, affordable, clean, and outfitted with toiletries should you forget your own. I believe they even provided some drinking water that I didn't have to buy, which was nice. Staff are kind and welcoming--two of whom lugged my suitcase up the winding steps to my room on the top floor. I wish I would have stayed here for an extra day to enjoy more of what Dong Hoi has to offer. If you get the chance, take the stairs to the roof...

Really nice family run business

A good stop over but not much to do around. Staff could do a little better in welcoming and getting you situated.

Veldig hyggelige eiere. Ligger rett ved stranda. Bodde på dorm, rommet var helt greit. Var kun en annen der, ellers var stedet helt tomt. Noen småting som trekker ned, tomt for toalettpapir, tomt for drikkevann, ikke varme, sengene til de som hadde vært der tidligere var ikke ordnet opp i, ikke helt rent.

The facilities are clean and nice. Front desk person is very friendly and kind. Not too much to do in the area that is walking distance but the beach is about a 10-15ish minute walk. Overall it was good for what we needed. Very quiet hostel.

Really lovely family homestay, very clean and quiet at night!

Was mostly nice, but had too many stairs. Was hard to find food/beer/coffee. Hot shower didn't work so well. Room was a bit dirty.
