I booked a double, they put me in a triple that was crowded with two beds for 3 people. The place is dark, unwelcoming. The rooms have no windows. The bed linens are tired and over used. The front desk staff was unwelcoming and matter of fact, not gracious. The decor is ugly and cheap. There is not even a picture on any wall. The luggage room and the front doors are unsecured. The front desk staff was sitting in the guest seating area, the streaming social media ckips on his cell at full volume
I really loved staying here! Room was very clean, comfy beds and great showers! Breakfast was also delicious and staff was very nice, would stay here again!
Beds were okay, bathrooms were dirty. Fine for the price but nothing special.
The hostel was very nice upon our arrival, however after about one hour of staying in our room, there was no water in our bathroom, which is okay, however we were not notified that this could be a possibility. The next day in the morning there was no water in the bathroom which was very inconvenient because we did not know this was happening. Once we brought it up with the staff they offered us a bucket of water and to shower later after our checkout time. They were nice about it however, I thin...
Solid hostel. Met a freind who I hiked machu pichu with. Good vibes
Good place to spend the night to go to Machu Picchu. Nice room and clean hostel. Breakfast was ok but free. Staff was kind. The place is close to the bus stop to go to MP but it was a 10 min walk all uphill from the train stop.
We came after finishing Salkantay trek, and all we looked forward to were showers. When the receptionist showed us our room she said the water would take 5 mins to heat up, but failed to mention that there was no water in the building the entire day. We tried to use the toilet and it didn’t flush, and the showers didn’t work at all. We waited 6 hours for the water to come on, and it was just an ice cold trickle. There was never anyone at reception. beds were comfy but we woke up with BUG BIT...
It’s an okay hostel close to the center of the Machu Picchu village. I personally didn’t like much that they didn’t have a kitchen and the toilets were always dirty. But the breakfast is nice and the staff was very helpful as well.
Hostel is fine and breakfast is good. No real atmosphere and very little common space, but that's okay since it's Aguas Calientes and everybody is here to see Machu Picchu and leave anyway
Hotel got the job done. 👍 However, the lack of lighting and counter space in the bathroom made it hard to do my makeup. The shower water was room temperature at best. Also the front desk tends to be unattended often. The room did have a soft blanket and full body mirror.
Great location, the staff we very friendly and helpful, however the bathrooms weren’t maintained well never any toilet paper or soap
Very helpful staff, comfy beds and nice breakfast. However, nothing will dry in the rooms for lack of ventilation
Great breakfast here, really one of the best you’ll get in a hostel in Peru. Shower was good and not too many people in the hostel. Slightly out of the way which turned out to be nice since it was quieter at night. Only downside is the uphill walk from the restaurant scene to get to the hostel
Very good value. Excellent restrooms. The staff was excellently available and kind. Sami also found me a ride to Cuzco and personally came to my location (running) to give me the ticket. 5 stars!!! Only one small thing: I would have liked a more "Peruvian" breakfast.
Super súper friendly owner and a laundry just below. Amazing views from the terrace and great kitchen! very cold at night but the many blankets helped :) thank you very much!!
