Good Manor

I love the idea of a hostel in Fresno but since many Americans are not accustom to hostel decorum and etiquette and the hostel is located in the mixed demographic of Fresno's art district/club scene, it is impairitive guest be physically checked in; not just giving a door code and left to their own devices. The love the owner has put into this place is evident. However, without a responsive host and two persons without a door code who kept leaving the main door unlocked to gain re-entry😬�...

Amazing value, amazing location. A perfect launch point for a backpacking trip. I decided to book a third night after I come off the mountain. I hardly saw any of my neighbors so if you’re looking for privacy, you will find it. There is a lovely cat on the grounds named Goody. The spot is located in the Tower District.. I took a two minute walk to the strip where I was able to enjoy a cigar bar and plenty of dining options. Thank you Good Manor for this ideal experience!

I love staying here when I visit Fresno! Checking in/out is very clearly communicated and there are lots of amenities and space. The owners are very understanding and responsive.

Came here for one night and I'll be back. It was secure easy check in. Clean and safe place to stay. The shower was awesome. The bed was firm with cozy bedding. The kitchen is delightful and came with coffee and bagels.

This is the best kept secret in the Tower District. It's small, clean, convenient, and just lovely. We enjoyed our stay and plan to be back.

Excellent venue and a gateway to everything you’d want driving through California. Alleha is super knowledgable and will give you great recommendations to bars, Yosemite, LA, you name it!

Great stay! Will return when I’m back in to area to visit the parks (Yosemite/Sequoia/Kings Canyon). Host/Owner (Aaliyah) is very personable, and truly goes out of her way to ensure your stay is top notch. Walking distance from solid restaurants, and night life. Highly recommend visiting Sequoia Brewing just down the street.

I love the Good Manor. I've stayed there twice now when visiting Fresno and it's such a pleasant change from the soulless chain hotels that dominate the city. The atmosphere is really welcoming and friendly and I always meet some interesting people. It's located in the middle of the Tower District, which has great food, bars, live music and thrift stores just a short walk from the Good Manor.

A wonderfull place to stay. The owner Elliha is super sweet. She is most of the time around, whenever she can. And when she is not there her onsite manager Sabrina is there. It’s super clean and feels like a warm home. Elliha loves to spend time with her guest what makes it even more fun to go there. Would highly recommend this place!

We arrived late and we wanted to do the online checkin with the qr code at the front door. So it did not work after trying for 40 minutes and there was a number to call, we teied to text, to email and to call but we didn‘t reach someone. In the end we needed to search another stay. The manager disn‘t reply till today and I couldn‘t get a refund. That‘s sad.

This was not a hostel. If I wanted an airbnb where I needed to check myself in, I would have booked one.

Came to Fresno to see HedPE at Strummers. The hostel was rwo blocks from the venue. Rad. Totally Rad.

As an Aussie traveller passing through I absolutely fell in love with Fresno while staying at The Good Manor. There is a homely feeling to this hostel; not only is it well kept in terms of cleanliness but the friendly staff were very passionate about ensuring I had the best stay possible. I had such I great time that I decided to stay an extra day! Thank you, Alleha and everyone who made my holiday all the more enjoyable. I hope I get the chance be stay at the The Good Manor hostel again!

Absolutely perfect, everyone was friendly, had everything I needed and was perfectly placed for driving to Yosemite, Sequoia, and Pinnacles. A great stay.

The coziest hostel I've ever stayed at. Great decor and amenities. Exceedingly pleasant staff. Well worth it :)

It's a very good option for staying in Fresno. It's close to a street with some night life options. There are four rooms, two bathrooms, a big kitchen and quite some living space. Bed in room 4 isn't the most comfortable but otherwise the place has everything one might need. We were wondering about towels cause they weren't present in the room but it turned out there were fresh towels available for all in the bathroom's closet.

No complaints.. Just a excellent quality and value.
