The Spot City Thongsala

It's a cheap hostel, but with several shortcomings. The beds weren't made and had been used by the person before us, there was no main light in the dorm and it was rather dark, the floor was covered in mold spores (which you could smell throughout the entire hostel), and there were also bedbugs. All in all, a hostel with potential, but it's seriously lacking in cleanliness and hygiene.

Kai is a wicked host and made me feel very welcomed!

Located close to the pier it is easy to reach after arrival in Koh Phangan and convenient for an early morning departure. Also during the stay the location is perfect to explore the rest of the island by scooter, you can get everywhere in like 20 minutes. The hostel offers a chilled environment with a good atmosphere plus the owner is a cool guy, I really enjoyed his stories. Rooms were great and beds comfortable.

Some of the hostel is under renovation at the moment but the owner is very nice and accommodating!
