Melaleuca Surfside Backpackers

Most beautiful hostel I have ever stayed at. Location was amazing - super quiet and peaceful yet with so many transport links to every tourist hotspot and main towns. Amazing beach 2 minute walk away. Staff were friendly and helpful and I felt extremely welcomed during my stay. Would absolutely return here. Thank you so much!

Amazing in every aspect

Ich fand es ganz in Ordnung, aber ich war schon in besseren Hostels. Die Umgebung mitten im Grünen ist sehr schön, auch die Holzhütten haben ihren Charme. Die Duschen und Toiletten hätten etwas sauberer sein können. Außerdem waren Duschköpfe und Spülkästen zum Teil kaputt. Die Bettlaken im Zimmer waren ebenfalls nicht ganz sauber. Die Geneinschaftsküche ist sehr gut ausgestattet und groß. Allgemein fand ich die Atmosphäre leider nicht so schön. Die Leute dort waren nicht sehr aufges...

Beautiful place, remote but easily accessible via public transport.

Loved visiting this place it had a true feeling of being isolated. The facilities were great and ambiance was inviting.

I had a great stay! The hostel was clean and comfortable, the kitchen was very well equipped, and the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay here again!

Place was amazing such a cool little spot. The only thing i could complain about is the shutter style sliding doors on the cabin. Thay had no mesh on them so the mozzies just flew straight on in and feasted on me while I tried to sleep. Seems like a massive design floor. Probably should be looked into before someone gets rossriver virus.

Eine wirklich einzigartige Unterkunft. Mitten im Grünen und wunderbar ruhig und entspannend. Ich hab ich gerne auch einfach mal einen Nachmittag auf der Terrasse im Hostel verbracht. Absolute Empfehlung! Man fühlt sich, als würde man im Wald schlafen (nur ohne die Insekten, es sind nämlich überall Fliegengitter angebracht)

Great facilities, neat and clean accommodation. Really friendly host, with great recommendations for local activities.

It is a wonderful place. An absolute gem where you can relax in nature.
