Panda Backpackers Hostel

6 of us stayed here. All the sheets had stains on them and the rooms were dirty. One the beds didn’t even have a pillow so they gave us a cushion of the couch in the foyer. Wouldn’t recommend to stay here unfortunately. If the staff actually put some effort into making this place clean and tidy it could have some postential

Staff is super friendly, room (2 beds) was spacious but lacking something to hang/store clothes. Located very close to everything we wanted to do in Hanoi so location was very good. But the shared bathroom needs to be cleaned more frequently!! Other than that, would recommend

We had a private room for one night. It's clean, nothing special but nothing to complain about. Hot shower, new AC working silent. I definitely recommend Panda Hostal!

Nice, clean and solid hostel. You have all necessary amenities, very central location in the Old Town (super close to Hoan Kiem lake). Staff were kind and helpful, there was daily cleaning, lockers with key for every bed. Powerful AC and good privacy curtains. However there are no locks on the doors (though security cameras in every room), and only one bathroom (combined toilet and shower) per floor, so one per 16 people. This sometimes proved to be a bit too little.

Very basic but fine for a night. No real common spaces. The one bathroom on the floor (combination toilet and shower) was shared between two dorms, which meant lots of waiting. There wasn't even soap in the bathroom to wash hands, which I feel should be a minimum.

I wish there had been soap in the bathroom. I was told there wasn’t any because it’s a low-cost hostel. This was to be fair the cheapest on Hostelworld, but you still expect certain things.

It is the cheapest hostel for a good reason. The staff was very nice, and I was allowed to check in at 4 am even though i didn’t reserve from the previous night. However, the room is so cramped, there are small lockers but you can’t really fit your stuff there. The bathroom on the floor I stayed at was so dirty and old, I didn’t want to use it. I checked out the same day, because I felt uncomfortable. There is no social space. I would only choose it if i was very very broke.

I chose this hostel based on its location, it's very close to the Train Street and Old Quarter. Rooms and beds are very clean, there's a locker in each room but it's rather small, not enough to store a 20l backpack. Bathroom was simple but clean, there's only one per floor but it was never super occupied despite the fact that both rooms on the floor were fully booked. Receptionist is very nice and helpful. There was no kitchen or any other social area, besides the room.

Overall was okay but the cleanliness was challenged. Locations are great to the beer street!

Great budget hostel 5 minutes from.Train street. Only thing lacking was other guests being sociable.
