Just stay here. Don’t question it. It’s amazing. Nani is amazing, the vibes are amazing. They have hot showers and AC the beach is literally steps away. Stay here. Stay here. Stay here.
Great stay. Better than all other hostels that I have stayed in.
Mostly volunteers there who made it feel like you are on Love Island. They also made it feel like they didn’t want to work. The pool wasn’t clean and was closed for 2 days during my 4 days stay in March. Quite far from the city but it’s easy to take local buses.
This place as such a potential but need a lot of care. Not worth the price. Arrived there for check in speaking Spanish, they asked me to speak in English. I felt a bit bad to be honest. No one at the reception, no local staff to ask for advice, pool out of service and green during half of our stay … I regret a bit my time and money
Personally I didn’t like the Villa. The vibe was weird and it kinda feels like you’re stuck on a love island episode (if that’s the vibe you’re looking for go for it!) it wasn’t the chill backpacker vibe I usually had in hostels so far on my travels rather than people who are on spring break, but if that’s you then you should definitely book but if you’re also rather into backpacking and chill people I’d recommend Salty Dogs. Also most volunteers don’t seem like they’re worki...
This place had really great reviews but the vibes were very off. Mostly clean minus the kitchen, beds and ac were nice. Pool was quite green so didn’t swim in it. I never saw the breath work an ice bath happen and in four days saw the yoga happen once. None of the daily activities happened and was told the waves were too big for surf lessons (not the hostels fault tho). Saw a review about swapping to salty dogs, they had less reviews but swapped hostels anyways and much prefer it.
The hostel appears to be run almost entirely by volunteers. During our stay we never encountered actual staff, which made many simple processes unnecessarily difficult. Whenever we had a question or needed help, it often seemed like no one really knew how to assist guests. Because the volunteers mostly seemed to do their own thing, the overall atmosphere felt somewhat disorganized and at times uncomfortable. For example, when we reported a clogged sink, the only response we received was that ev...
The hostel feels like a bit of a Love Island simulator. The proximity to the beach was great, but the hostel is quite isolated from everything. The beach is nice and the surfing is decent. The staff were nice
ALLES TOP! waren zuvor 2 nächte im salty dogs und die surf villa hat uns viiieel besser gefallen. klare empfehlung! 🤗
the villa is located next to the beach in a more quite area than El Tunco, which I liked. But limited eating options nearby except for pupusas and tacos. The vibe in the hostel for me was a bit off. The activities that were suppose to happen, didn't during my stay. The manager looks like she's always having a bad time and doesn't care at all about the guests. Volunteers were nice. But overall the vibe in the hostel made it difficult to socialise. Also feels like the property needs maintenance.
A very chill stay. It’s outside of El Tunco so you do spend a lot of time just chillin in the hostel. The taxi is only $5 to the centre and takes about 15 mins. Great if you can already surf, wouldn’t recommend for learning as the staff didn’t know how to book lessons. Kitchen was well equipped and the bathrooms were spacious and clean
One of the best hostels I’ve stayed at. Overall good energy with lovely volunteers and fellow clients. From surfboard rentals to a pool, many hamacs and spaces to chill. Would recommend to anyone who’s into a relaxed yet youthful and good vibes stay!
Really glad i stayed here, it was a great time!
The overall vibe was very odd and very dead. It is basically mostly volunteers and it feels like their home, with a few guests drifting in here and there. It feels like you're intruding. At check in no one knows what's going on and they barely give you any info. It's an okay property and is nice to lounge about on the hammocks but it's not worth it. I was happy to leave. STAY AT SALTY DOGS INSTEAD. Wish I'd gone there first
This is a nice place to stay if you’re looking to relax by yourself on the beach. Not a very chatty group of people when I was there so not many opportunities to make friends, but the yoga every morning and night is amazing! The pool is nice and it’s right on the beach. I would surprisingly recommend asking for a top bunk here!
Super Hostel
Not worth the money. Kitchen was dirty and the bed I was allocated was extremely uncomfortable, could feel the springs digging into me so had to ask to move beds. It was a pretty hostel and nice that it was right on the beach but not close to much else. Staff weren’t very friendly either.
