Hotel Poveira

Great hotel! One stop away from Sao Bento station and easy to get to and from the airport using the Metro. I was pleasantly surprised by the stay. The staff were great and had great suggestions. The room was fairly spacious and it was clean. Much better than a hostel and very good for the price.

The location is good for one night if you have a late night arrival or early morning departure by train. Otherwise you are far from the heart of Porto. The staff was very friendly. they apologized for the construction. but In-progress updates aren't a concern. The furniture in my room was very worn down and the bed was so hard and uncomfortable that I slept on my sleeping bag for extra padding.

One of the best private room hostels I've ever stayed in, and was extremely cheap compared to other options here. Lives up to the 10/10 hype. Only thing to note is that if you are looking to socialize with other travelers, you may be off finding a more popular location. Otherwise, this is an amazing break from fast-paced travel.

Hotel Poveira was such a pleasant experience, from helpful hotel staff, to the cleanliness, quiet and comfort of the rooms. It had everything I needed. At first, I didn't understand how the blinds operated, but one of the staff was happy to show me that there's a knack to it, which alleviated my concern. The air conditioning operated perfectly. Breakfast wasn't included with my booking, but I was able to pay €8 in addition each time I ate breakfast, without any problems.

Estupendo

Very nice overall but the smells in the showers/restrooms were very strong at time. Also, the size of the downstairs showers and bathrooms were problematic for someone a bit bigger than the average or simply unwell in small spaces. Also, the fact that the only normal-sized shower+restroom is woman only was not great. After investigating, the middle floor shower/restrooms were by far better but you need to know it!

Absolute Top-Lage zum Bahnhof! Die Eingangshalle ist sehr stilvoll und man kann frühstücken. Das Hotel ist im Großen und Ganzen sauber, wirkt aber teilweise etwas alt und an manchen Ecken weniger gepflegt. Insgesamt in Ordnung, jedoch etwas kostspielig.

Amazing clean room and friendly staff. Right next to a big train station that is one stop away from the city centre, but perfect for people who like a quiet room. Would definitely recommend.
