It’s very simple, but comfortable and clean. If you’re looking for a place to rest after a walking tour through the city, it’s perfect place to stay.

There were bedbugs.

Horrible, turned around right when I walked in. Gross and old place. It has a bed that’s the only plus side to it. Didn’t feel safe or comfortable at all.

Wonderful calm nice place. Very good location, close to "everything". Also close to the University, so might hear happy students at night - with earplugs really no problem. Very nice & charming staff, always welcoming and helpful. Really made me feel safe with someone in the reception all the time. Nice and tidy room, but got some ticks at night, better bring some repellent, just in case. No breakfast served - with lots of cafes right outside the door you will find a favourite place.

cheiro ruim no quarto. instalações muito antigas, não tem ar condicionado, o ventilador é velho e fraco, a iluminação do quarto é bem ruim

Great location! In the very heart of Porto city. Very quiet hostel owned by elderly family. Its good tip to learn some basic Portuguese since they don't speak English at all! Rooms are very small but very clean! Internet wifi speed excellent! Do I recommend this hostel? For solo travelers definitely yes....but for families I guess bit too small facilities!

Très très biebien situé! Avec pour ma part ube chambre avec vue sur l'église. Donc magnifique vue. Concernant les matelas, ils étaient extrêmement durs, on sentait les ressorts. Je ne recommande pas vraiment cette auberge sauf si vous voulez bien être placé

Extremely good location. No airconditioning, just a fan in the room. No fridge but we could keep some things in the owners private fridge.

My friends and I had the best stay in Pensao Franca. The place is so typical, the atmosphere is chill and warm. The room was super clean and the position is perfect for exploring Porto, close to one of its prettiest churches. Highly recommended and we can't wait to be back!

Os pontos fortes do hostal são a limpeza (no meu cobertor tinha percevejo, mas acho que é algo comum em hostals em Portugal) e a localização, no entanto, achei a recepção pouco comunicativa/agradável. O edifício e os móveis são antigos, a televisão do quarto não funcionava e não tínhamos tomada perto da cama. Na minha opinião, o preço está um pouco acima para o que é oferecido. Para quem só vai ao hostal para tomar banho e dormir, não está ruim.

Alguns quartos podem ser muito pequenos para pessoas claustrofóbicas, essa é a única coisa que acho que as pessoas deveriam saber antes.
