Positive: Great view from the homestay; very kind and welcoming owners; we were able to check in early as the room was ready; great breakfast. Negative: Difficult to find at night due to limited street lighting; poor sound insulation (noise from nearby rooms was clearly audible); food only available if joining paid activities (e.g. trekking); on arrival, vendors approached us aggressively, followed us inside, and tried to sell products, with no intervention from staff.
LOVLEY base to do some walks around the farmland of sapa
vraiment super, merci beaucoup
Super lief familie en bizar hoeveel je krijgt voor de prijs. Je kunt kiezen uit meerdere opties voor het ontbijt. De kamer is ruim en schoon. Het uitzicht is prachtig.
+ Everything great
- Only thing, there's only 2 bathrooms to share and whenthere's many people it could be not be enough
En y étant allé début février les températures étaient fraîches et les dortoirs n’étant pas chauffés nous avions froid. Heureusement l’établissement propose plusieurs couvertures. Les repas sur place étaient très bons, bien que proposés assez tôt (18h).
Great location, really nice family, really comfy beds in the dorms although it was quite cold when we went, no lockers to put main luggage in but a small personal cupboard you can lock above your bed. The only main issue was having a shower as after 3/4 minutes it goes cold and that’s if you wake up early enough to get in there first

I loved this place!!!! I could’ve stayed in Ta Van forever!! It’s such a good value for a clean soft bed, included breakfast, an amazing view, and the kindest hosts. It’s decently social since a lot of the multi-day trekking groups from sapa stay here, so there are always new people to talk to. Highly recommend this place.
I had a great time in this Homestay !! The owner and is family were really kind. The room was perfect and with is a really nice view ! I highly recommend this place if you want to rest and hike there - they organize tours very easily !
It was a beautiful and very authentic place. But be aware that the owner doesn’t speak any English so we didn’t get any information when we arrived. Most of the people staying there were doing a trekking with overnight stays so it was not that social. But the facilities were great and good breakfast. The family who owns it, is very sweet.
Such a cute homestay from a lovely family. Loved my room, the only thing I have to deduct points for is the bathroom, which is not so nice.
It is a good place to rest with the beautiful view of the mountains. It is in a village next to Sapa so you have to take a taxi to Sapa centrum; about 25 min. The staff is nice and the breakfast was good. However, there is no clear reception, so sometimes it is a search for the staff. It is definitely worth the money.

Great homestay, friendly staff, perfect view and location, surrounding by ricefield and mountain, highly recommended.
+ Le personnel était super sympa, le rapport qualité prix est parfait !!! Je recommande
+ Cute little area in a village near Sa Pa. The owners were a bit reserved but very kind. Nice views on the river. Heated mattresses were a plus during our chilly stay there. The owner and his family propose a family-style dinner every night. The shared bathrooms were big and clean (towels and toiletries available). They offer trekking and hiking tours. Plenty of good coffee places with good views.
- No inside common area as portrayed on the pictures. The outside area only had a small table which can be tricky if a lot of people are staying. Basic amenities but did the job. The food was good and generous but a bit pricy compared to other places in Vietnam. It’s a 15 minute walk to other restaurants and it’s quite a hike so be prepared. A bit inconveniently placed but you know what you’re getting into. Other than trekking and getting coffee there isn’t much to do in the village, the cold weather didn’t help but it has nothing to do with the homestay. Most people come to Sa Pa after the Ha Giang Loop but we would advise to do it the other way around to avoid post loop depression lol
+ The family were really friendly. The dorm had character. I liked the mattresses on the floor and the curtains. The dinner and the breakfast were nice. If the weather had been better I would have loved sitting outside near the river. And I would have loved going for a hike with the owner. The Bamboo bar up the hill was great.
- As the weather was cold, the hostal was cold too. And the shower was not hot enough. They put out a bowl with fire in it but after an hour we were cold again. I specifically choose the hostal for the because other reviews had talked about meals & integrating with the family but the host was busy elsewhere so I didn't get the chance.
